A good show as always. I'm getting used to Galdar the German Ferengi!

Nice reading everyone.

*lol*
I tried to make him sound more like a Ferengi-German-Ferengi for the next RR. "What doesn't kill you only makes you... stranger!" :D

But everyone is so good, it's very hard to match what you are doing!

Don't take my comments as negative in any way. I find that the different voices of all the different readers have added to my mental image of the character.

Thanks.

No, didn't take it negative at all! :)

I was glad you mentioned it as it were your posts I read (and you didn't seem scared on twitter), I would have been slightly worried otherwise! And I assumed "Nice readings everyone!" would somehow include me. :)

Your post was mostly a third person narrator anyway, but this narrator is usually all-knowing and aware of the thoughts of the character. For me, it's almost like an inner voice of the character, and if you are Ferengi and your inner voice sounds female with a German accent - I'd say you need a counselor. I found this thought quite amusing. :)
(I wonder what I contributed to your mental image of the character?)

I got a Galdar line again for next RR, and this time I tried to make him sound more Ferengi... still very female with German accent. This will most certainly be even stranger. ;)

Great. Expreesion/emotion is always difficult to read into email and forum posts so I wasn't sure.

Perhaps Galdar's mother was the Ferengi equivalent of German? ;)

They must have had different nation states on Ferenginar at some point in its history.

I nearly wrote Galdar's mother into the story a while back. If I do so now I'll have a traditional Ferengi Haus-Frau in mind (Ferengi traditions being what they are).

That would be possible, alien races in Star Trek are often too homogeneous anyway. And there are few feminists beneath the Ferengi, so Haus-Frau is very likely.

Now I'd like to jump on the implications of Ferengi tradition, but I promised myself to behave. ;)
(No, I'm not insulted, I'd like to banter a bit about cultural taboo, but you don't know me well enough to interpret it right.)
