Hello my friends!
As a service to the Treks in Sci-Fi community, Rico and I proudly present
Horizon, news from the future, an all sci-fi, geek related info newsletter that I created to keep us informed on everything sci-fi that happens all over the planet!
A few months ago I realized that I get a lot of sci-fi related info on my inbox coming from websites, friends and contacts and it's a darn good ammount of it. So I thought it would be nice to share it with all of you in a nice newsletter format.
Every week Horizons will be posted to keep us up to date. And you can count on a special breaking news edition if somthing really important happens.
I hope you guys like it and read it. Please tell me what you think so I can improve it and we all are happy with it.
Now if any of you have news, comments, or just want to help, you are welcome to do so. Horizons is for all of us so you guys can get involved on this little project.
Lets see how far we get!
The first issue is here:

Will I be able to get it using RSS in the future?
Of course! Keep in mind that this is only the first beta. I will improve on it each issue until we all are happy with it. :)
Thank you very much Morex, this is an awesome way to stay updated on sci-fi news. Great job on the beta, too.
Thanks buddy! If you have any comments, pls let me know!
Very nice work Morelos! Thanks!!
i already told rico in an email... but the email version doesn't work at all... the text starts to go over the yahoo border at the end of the page... and the pics don't load... i like the website version though... except that at the bottom in the last article, the text is a little hidden behind the website border thing... just tweak it a little and maybe add some cool graphics and it will be amazing...
Good work guys...
I think it's great, I see nothing wrong in Firefox, so maybe you should just look at the magazine in there. And who's they? I think Morelos was the only one who worked on it, unless I'm misunderstanding this.
morelos and rico...
It's Morelos's work. He just asked to post it here and use it as a newsletter for the site. Hoping to see it weekly and use it as some discussion material for the podcast.
Sounds great. A little more tweaking on the website and it looks great. A simple but effective design. Could I write an editorial article or contribute anyway to the mag?
I decided to give you some help. Here is zip file with your site. I fixed the code a bit to help you. You should be able to understand how the changes work and to add on to them. http://spocksmac.byethost11.com/horizons(revised).zip
I also added a cool effect to the banner:

Yo spock, how do you get it to animate like that?
A lovely little photoshop trick I learned from a book. I may post a tutorial about later.
That would be cool. I didn't know you could do stuff like that in photoshop. I thought maybe you did it in Flash.
