Doctor News

Here are some new reports.

Episode titles for the first seven episodes of Series 6 have been confirmed in the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine. Only two of them we haven't heard before – episode 3 is called The Curse of the Black Spot and episode 6 has changed it's title from Gangers to The Almost People.

For clarity here is the full line-up for the first half of the series -

Episode 1 – The Impossible Astronaut
Episode 2 – Day of the Moon
Episode 3 – The Curse of the Black Spot
Episode 4 – The Doctor's Wife
Episode 5 – The Rebel Flesh
Episode 6 – The Almost People
Episode 7 - A Good Man Goes to War

Ok now here is a rundown of the first two episodes to come from the press screening, there ARE spoilers in this, no major ones but SPOILERS all the same. I will say again, its in the spoiler tag for a reason, please, please do not open it of you dont want to read any spoilers.

    * The death of a main character occurs within the first 10 minutes of The Impossible Astronaut
    * There is a proper funeral for the person who dies
    * The Silence – if you look away from one, you forget you ever saw it...
    * There is a cheeky reference to Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead
    * River shows that she can work the TARDIS better than the Doctor, again.
    * The 'TARDIS' from The Lodger makes an appearance and that isn't the end of it
    * The Doctor is disappointed about not receiving a Fez
    * President Nixon helps the Doctor out of a few scrapes
    * The swimming pool is mentioned again
    * Fish Fingers and Custard
    * The Doctor's body is a work of art
    * River slaps...and kisses the Doctor
    * The tally marks are self-inflicted
    * The Silence will return after the opening two-parter
    * Who's the daddy...?
    * The Doctor messes with Apollo 11
    * There is a perfect prison mentioned and seen!
    * Day of the Moon ends on 2 cliffhangers.

Here's a question.  With the new season airing almost at the same time in the UK and in the States, do we think both airings will contain the same content?  I know BBC America at times has had to snip a bit here or there for time, etc.  Thoughts on this?

Well I hope they don't.. but if BBC America's past record is any indication.. then yes there will be cuts.. but maybe this is different since they are releasing them on the same day.
