What did you call? What part did you get right?
I got the part right where the girl is Amy and Rory's kid, but the rest of my theory hasn't played out yet.
Nice theories! Here's mine:
I think that the kid is Rory and Amy's kid. She's probably the first child conceived by humans that are both changed by the Tardis and maybe even in the Tardis. I think that she might represent the rebirth of the Timelords. Given that Amy is thousands of years old now and the light that recreated the universe had a lot of her atoms in it, it might have changed her as well. Between the rift energy always in her life and the Tardis energy, I think that it makes sense. It might also explain why the little girl had pictures of Amy with a baby.

Look at what the Silence said, she helped bring them about ... I would be surprised if the Silence and the Timelords are both connected to Amy. Those that become the Silence and those that become Timelords either now or old.

When you think about their power, it's like a super version of the Chameleon circuit or psychic paper. Rather than seeing what blends in or what you want them to see, you just forget.

Amy will bring the Silence, she is honored. The First Silence Baby and the First new timelord baby inside her. One making to other seem to not be there.

Just a theory, but it explains the prictures, the pregnancy, the there not there, the "timehead", the proto Tardis the Silence have, and maybe even why the Doctor is pulled to Earth.
Yeah ... I can sometimes see the future ... partly at least!
Lol I think everyone got the River connection and that's what I didn't like. I found that too predictable and I was a bit let down by that. Now that's not a bad thing because millions of people didn't see it coming ( I don't know how I mean it was winked at since the last series). I was hoping though that she would have been the Rani etc but alas no. I do have a huge connection to this episode and a classic who but I'm leaving that to the podcast see under spoiler.
We're recording the TSF Dr Who Serues 6a special tonight to be released next week so any comments or thoughts hit me with them.

Watched the last episode today. WOW!! I thought it was great!!
I may be the only one but i didn't know that River was their daughter. I didn't see it coming so it was a great shock! I thought she was the Doctor's wife or something. Loved seeing characters from previous episodes show up as well.

She may still be his wife. We don't know. We do know they spent quite a bit of time together.
Confirmed: No Full Season of Doctor Who in 2012

Avatar for Meredith Woerner Meredith Woerner —Confirmed: No Full Season of Doctor Who in 2012 Last week a nasty Doctor Who rumor was circulating — that even though Matt Smith has signed on to do another 14 Doctor Who episodes, there wouldn't be a full season next year. Sadly, these suspicions have been confirmed.

Danny Cohen, Controller of BBC One, was speaking at an event where we got the first confirmation that Doctor Who would NOT becoming back for a full season in 2012. A member of the audience, Wayne Clarke, confirmed via twitter that "Danny Cohen says there won't be a full series of Doctor Who in 2012, but a special run for the anniversary in 2013."

Which means that perhaps only a few episodes from the new season will air next year, and the rest will air in 2013. Cohen joked that the delay was due to Steven Moffat's other commitments on Sherlock Holmes, but the BBC later clarified that this wasn't the real reason (according to the BBC's Lizo Mzimba.)

But at the very least, let's hope this means the 50th anniversary will be an even bigger celebration of the show's long history, with tons of cameos and a huge storyline.

Meh!!!!!!!!!!!! Like they didnt learn from the Tennant episodes. BBC being tight is the main reason i suspect.

Or a deliberate attempt to spread things thin is the hope of keeping anticipation (and thus interest) up?

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

They run the risk of the casual viewer forgetting what has happened with that strategy....

True. They seem to be trying to bring back the cliffhanger and space out the seasons which don't necessarily work together as ideas.

Well they blame Sherlock which is crock if you ask me.

BBC PRESS RELEASE

Sherlock's success means less Doctor Who in 2012

Danny Cohen said there would not be a 13-part run of Doctor Who next year

Writer Steven Moffat's commitments to BBC One drama Sherlock will mean fewer Doctor Who episodes in 2012, the channel's controller has said.

Speaking at a media conference in Derbyshire, Danny Cohen explained the consequences of a new Sherlock series.

"He [Moffat] needs enough time to get that done and then start work on the next series of Doctor Who", the BBC One boss said.

So there will be [Doctor Who] episodes, but not as many."

Doctor Who is one of the BBC's flagship shows. The series typically runs for 13 episodes every year.

Last week the BBC announced that they were filming 14 new Doctor Who episodes, including a Christmas special, to be broadcast from next year.

But Mr Cohen said that not all of the commissioned stories would be transmitted in 2012.

"There will be some episodes, but there won't be a full series, so we won't have a 13-part run," he told the audience at The Church and Media Conference.

Mr Moffat is one of BBC One's key writers, who oversees all Doctor Who episodes.

He is also one of Sherlock's executive producers, and is currently writing one of the show's three new episodes.

"There's only so many hours a day he can be awake," Mr Cohen said, referring to Mr Moffat's workload.

"The man has to sleep and eat, and he's got a family."

Both programmes attract high viewing figures and between them received five nominations at May's TV Bafta's, with Sherlock winning two prizes.

"Steven Moffat is the creative driving force behind Doctor Who. He also, rather magically at the same time, created and got to air Sherlock. So we have to get that balance right," Mr Cohen said.

"There'll be more episodes again in 2013, for the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. So that's a big year."

The remaining six episodes of the current series will air on BBC One later this year.
