I have just phoned Sherlocks mobile number and its a Tesco mobile network. How quaint. ;)

How do you know? Voicemail prompt?

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Dangelus

I was wondering this. Also I'm surprised they use an actual working number.

Interesting. In the US, all the fake numbers in tv/movies/etc. begin 555-... I wonder if the UK has something similar?

Perhaps the most famous non-555 number belongs to "Jenny", and last I read the guy who has 867-5309 in New York City still gets messages for her every week.

No we dont have a generic phone number for TV, with the Sherlock one it just went to Tesco answering system. I phoned the Dr's mobile number once and that was just discontinued. LOL

Dangelus

This is sounding more and more dodgy... ;)

ha ha, sorry didnt answer Mikes question. It went straight to the voice mail number "This is Tesco mobile answering service, please leave a message after the tone"

Dodgy? Moi?

Lol well ringing all these strange numbers....

I wonder if they accidentally used an active number and the owner has just got rid of the sim after so many strange phone calls?

Meds

Well I should think they have a lot of pay as you go numbers for TV hence going for a Tesco number lol

Ok, since I've finally caught up with Netflix on the new Dr. Who, I'm starting on this.

Gotta love a show that gets straight to "I think I left my riding crop in the morgue."

Quite enjoyable show.  The interplay between Holmes and Watson is positively exquisite.  Nice balance between eerie and funny.  Great to see Freeman in a dramatic role.

Nice "battle of wits" at the end, too.  Yeah, I'm hooked.

Here is the poster for series 2 of Sherlock and also a pict from filming of the Hound of the Baskervilles.
