Doctor Who The Eleventh Doctor - spoilers

One thing I didn't care for this season was the midway break we had. Did we have that last season or series? Can't recall. But this year it seemed to take some the steam out of the big arc they are doing. But, I'm still enjoying it immensely!

No not last season. I think it's all about having Who throughout the year.

I don't think we've had a mid-season break before (not counting the Tennant specials on their irregular schedule). Some have proposed that they're using this to shift the occurrence of Who in the calendar. I guess we'll see when they bring it back next year.

It's going to be a autumn showing next year I believe, cold dark nights for Dr Who like the old days.

Yeah it's going to be a big wait probably around 9 to 10 months. No firm details yet I'll post as soon as I get the email. I know Karen has a big role coming up and Arthur is doing a play and that's normally a 6 month run if sales go well. That's if they return for the new series.

Something came to me today via another podcast. We [spoiler]Know a younger River is in the space suit but on the shore of the lake when the Dr is killed older River shoots the astronaut several times with no consequence to her. Is the suit bullet proof which would be the reason why River says "of course" or is it not River who comes ashore[/spoiler]

Yet she can shoot a hat off your head. Hmm. Also we know the Dr who gets shot is the old Dr the one we have just seen but where dies the Dr from the toilet come from in the diner.

Did I miss something?

[spoiler]The season opener said that the Doctor who died was some 200 years older. Did the Doctor travel for 200 years on his own after dropping off Amy and Rory and then we catch up with him in this episode? Because it seems he goes straight there after this.[/spoiler]
