Ah but....,
The Dr hasn't married River a robot is not you so that's null and void straight away. Plus the Dr has been on the run for over a thousand years (he's at least 1600 years old).

Now the big question is Doctor Who?? So his name is in the works again. I'll tell you this it has at least 38 syllables ;)

Was he a robot here? I thought this was the alternate reality where time had stopped and he was him. His plan to use the robot was in the "real" reality. Touching River returned them to it. Would touching a robot do the same thing? This is what I mean, a lot of plot holes and side stepping. Lol
Yes,
it was him in the robot when they got married. He told River to look into his eye. She saw the little Doctor inside. That's how she knew he wasn't dead.

How was he the robot in the alternate reality? How does River and the robot making contact return them to normal time when it needs to direct contact between her and the Doctor that achieves this?

Well I think the skim factor is important on the robot that's why we had all that techno babble in let's kill hitler. Also remember it is sic fi and time travel so everything is possible. And it's just a story (and that's coming from me lol)
well meds,
I think you are wrong about the marriage. True, it was a spaceship, but he said the words and made the vows. Just because he wasn't touching flesh to flesh doesn't make it any less real. Also consider that River lies too. He could have told her his name before the look into his eye part. She can't really tell he3 mother his name. I also think that there is something far more to this story. For all we know, river never used up her regeneration and her ghost is in the machine.
Well call me a traditionalist but physically being there is pretty important, you don't just phone it through down the pub do you. ;)

I'm sure we'll see a lot more at Christmas with a few more answers especially if you heard the sound effect right at the end of the episode.

Rico

I'm with Chris on this point about the little ceremony near the end of the episode.

Of course
This would be at least the fifth time he's got married. 5 wives, sheesh
ElfManDan

All caught up on Doctor Who and the finale I enjoyed a lot.

You guys already went over a lot my thoughts, but to add to the conversation...
Dan brought up the fact that we've caught up with River's storyline and all the rest would be stuff we've already seen, but I disagree. I think in season 4,5 we saw towards the end of the her timeline, since the episode "A Good Man Goes to War" when we saw her born and the following episodes have been the beginning of her story. We saw her sorta grow up in "Let's Kill Hitler" in the flashbacks with Amy and Rory and her regeneration and becoming River Song. So in the finale we've come to this point where they are married. I think next season of episodes we're really gonna see a lot of River and the middle of her timeline. I think the main point to remember is that it's time travel, you don't always go in a strait line forwards or backwards.

Also that last scene with River and Amy. I got the sense from her dialog that she was checking Amy to see what part of the timeline she was in before she spoke of any real spoiler future events.

So personally I believe next season is going to be the love story of the Doctor and River while dealing with the silence as the big villain. After that then who knows, only 'time' will tell.
With regard to the ceremony
we know he was in the robot but we have no idea who said the words. I agree he was the most likely candidate but he was in the eye socket and (up to now) we've only seen an external mic in the control room.
Each to their own opinion but I don't think we have enough evidence to state definitively what happened or didn't. Plus
if the killing in the redundant timeline didn't count, why should the wedding?
I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
We also saw that the microphone was portable in "Let's Kill Hitler."
Well I'm glad the some of the presenters on http://thedoctorwhopodcast.com/ are in agreement with me with some of the points in the finale.

IMHO it is the best "Who" podcast out there. The presenters are long time fans but they're not afraid to voice criticism if they think it is justified. Very refreshing and healthy! :)

This is a pretty cool video.. so many different kinds of regenerations. Some kind of cheesy and some pretty cool.

I like how the doctors get's younger as he gets older :)

I agree. I used to listen to the DWO, but it wasn't the same after Tony left and so unsubscribed. I then tried Tony's Flashing Blade but didn't really get on with that either. There was nothing wrong with it, it just didn't really appeal to me.

I only started listening to The Doctor Who Podcast after Meds appeared on it and I'm glad I did. It gives me everything I need. Latest news, various viewpoints of the episodes, a good knowledge of the shows history and some good old fashioned decent podcasting banter. What more do you want!
