Nice. I also really enjoyed the first season of Elementary which I know few if any of you watched. It's good though!!!

well i have seen SHERLOCK on PBS and i loved it, i can't wait for the third series( season). i have also hit and missed with ELEMENTARY, one, it comes on while i am at work, and i hate coming in and having to catch up, but what i have seen of it i like it. the only thing i can say bad about it is based in new york and not london, i know it is revamp of the Holmes thing, but still Sherlock Holmes is a very british character and he plays well in that area, but i do see what they are trying and i think it is doing ok.

Is it airing simultaneously on both sides of the pond or over there first?

So far as I know, the next episodes of "Sherlock" will air starting on 19 Jan here in the states. I'm still undecided regarding Irene Adler's cliffhanger ending in "A Scandal in Belgravia" but thought they did a great job with her character otherwise. It's great to see an intelligent, capable, with all sorts of issues in Martin Freeman's "Watson". Speaking of Watson, I liked Nigel Bruce as an actor but hated how they made him portray Watson. Was that because of the era those films were created?

I think they were yes, the Rathbone/Bruce films were made when the second world war was on and so they wanted feel good films. I mean you had Holmes fighting Nazis which always annoyed me as he retired in 1908 to become a beer farmer. Ah well.

First two episodes of Sherlock have been rather enjoyable. Last weeks opener was a nice break in with the solution to last series's dramatic end.
This weeks had a warm tone all set around Watsons wedding. Great stuff.

I have to catch up on these.  The portrayal of Moriarity put me off in the first season.  I'll try to wade back in.

I'd say I've enjoyed them but I'm questioning their "Sherlock-ness" at this point. I liked one friend's comment on Facebook suggesting that they were now moving into Jonathan Creek territory!

I'm hoping for a classic tale to end the series.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
