"Snakes on a Plane"  - still a cool song and crazy fun film....

I was flipping the channels on the t.v. and Zoolander was one.  So of course I had to watch it.  I don't know why I enjoy this film.  Maybe it's cause I love Ben Stiller, Jerry Stiller and Owen Wilson.
But anyways I now have the song:

Relax  by Frankie Goes to Hollywood (remixed by thousands)

stuck in my head.

Heard "If You Want To Sing Out" by Cat Stevens.

Harold And Maud was one of the films that my old college friends and I would watch on our Movie Nights.  The song reminds me of them.   Politics aside, Cat Stevens made some pretty cool music.

Here's an early '80's classic few even remember. Roger Hodgson "Had a Dream". Great lyrics, very appropriate for our current time.

Had a dream I was born
To be naked in the eye of the storm
And now it's standing right in front of me
What's it going to do to me, who knows,
Had a dream it was time
To be taken to the front of the line
Well that is not a place you wanna be
Sleeping with the enemy, you know

I don't care what the future brings
Give a damn about anything
I'd be fine if they'd only leave me alone.
But it's time - gotta take a stance
'Cause I won't get a second chance
And I know now I have to make it alone

Had a dream it was war
And they couldn't tell me what it was for
But it was something they could lie about
Something we could die about, you know
Anytime, anyplace
When you look that man in the face
Well it is not a face you wanna see
Sleeping with the enemy, you know

Mary, can you hear me
Can you tell me what it's all supposed to mean
Holding out a photograph of all that I have seen
I wish I could hold you
I wish I could hold you

Had a dream it was time
To be a witness at the scene of the crime
Well, That is something you can analyse
Something you can criticise, who knows
So we wait, hesitate
And we're making such a mistake
Oh whatever can the matter be
Sleeping with the enemy, you know

I don't care what the future brings
Give a damn about anything
I'd be fine if they'd only leave me alone
But it's time, gotta take a stance
'Cause I won't get a second chance
And I know now I have to make it alone

You're going to post your composition when you're finished...right? :)

This morning was a foggy and wet, perfect Jazz weather.  Started with my favorite Jazz tune this morning on my way to work:  Take Five by Dave Drubeck

Jazz is cool Jen but when it's foggy and wet I just gotta dance! To prevent such a tragedy from happening I listen to What Made Milwaukee Famous - Sultan.

Don't know'em?!? Then allow me to enlighten you! It's a great band I've seen twice from Austin. They are on their sophomore album as of March 8, 2008 called "What Doesn't Kill Us" and have a Live album on the way on their performance at SXSW, check it out on iTunes.

BTW That is Lance Armstrong in the Sultan video (see below), after all he is a native Texan! I thought it was cool he helped out a local Indi band with their video.

:r2d2line I honestly don't know why I put R2D2 in here he just kind of called out to me. (honestly, just stop reading the rest of the paragraph and watch the video if you haven't already) I won't apologize! It was R2D2 or the troll doll I didn't have a choice YOU WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME. Sooo many, so many... on with the show!!!
