Welcome to the world of coics Tim ha ha. Watchmen portraits is an amazing book. Bit pricey though at £30.

After months and months, I have finished Kobayashi Maru. It was a great book, I just kept getting sidetracked on other things, but it was real easy to come back to.

Starting on another Titan Book now, Sword of Damocles, and then Darth Bane rule of Two. I am a bit behind on reading, so hoping to get myself back into a regular rhythm

Just about done with a military sci-fi book by Michael Z. Williamson called The Weapon.  Very enjoyable book!  Next in line-  The latest Titan book, Sword Of Damocles.

my mistake; you're right.  It's the one with Riker's aquatic ex-fling on the cover. :)

Just finished 3rd reading of George RR Martin's "Game of Thrones" and will continue on with book 2 "A Clash of Kings" ... the last few months I had (finally) been reading the Harry Potter series. Chris

I'm re-reading Pandora's Star by Peter F Hamilton. This is an amazing hard sci-fi novel that talks about a future where people basically don't die and interplanetary travel is accomplished with artificial wormholes from planet to planet that they run trains through.

This and it's sequel novel Judas Unchained are monster books that have large casts of characters and very deep storyline. Great novels!

Currently I'm reading the latest Star Trek book Mere Anarchy. It's a trade size paperback that includes six novella size books. Each book set during a different period of TOS history about periodic visits to the same planet. I just started it but the first story seems pretty good.

I'm about a third of the way into the Titan book "Over A Torrent Sea".  Pretty good read so far, but it feels a little anticlimatic after the last Big Event Crossover that took place in the Trek novels.

Yea...I found it not only anti-climatic but rather boring. Too much information and time was spent on the marine biology. I think to detriment of the story and it winds up seeming like filler to just boost the page count.

Finished the SW "Alligience" book by Zahn.  Not his best, but it was ok.  Not enough time spent with the main characters.

Now, I'm reading book two in this series about bounty hunter witch, Rachel Morgan.

This may be incredibly boring but I'm reading "JQuery in Action". I want to use the jQuery javascript framework on one of my next projects so I figured I should read up a bit.

Entertaining read...if you like javascript.

Just about done with a really cool military sci-fi book called Freehold, by Michael Z. Williamson.  It's about a prosperous, idyllic world in the distant future that gets invaded by an expansionist, oppressive, pervasively bureaucratic union of worlds led by the planet Earth.  Some of the extrapolated caricatures of what the future might look like really make you think.  All in all, it's a pretty action-packed, thought-provoking, and humorous novel.

Excellent book about organized crime in New York titled Five Families: The Rise, Decline, and Resurgence of America's Most Powerful Mafia Empires by Selwyn Raab, a former investigative reporter for the NY Times.

I am a junkie when it come to reading about the Mafia.
I think it was Socrates who spoke the immortal words:  I drank WHAT?

I started the new Star Trek Voyager book called Full Circle and so far it is really good! I'm glad because the last couple of Voyager relaunch books were not so good.
