I keep coming back to this once in a while, although I never heard (of) power metal before.

The Bee Gees "Stay'n Alive". This song has plagued me since I was 3 years old. :D I remember my mother playing it as loud as she could in our green van with shag carpet. I liked it then, I guess... In 1993, I was a high school senior. I remember my classmates pumping this song in the hall ways on the last day of classes, right before graduation. Back then it was a joke, disco WAS NOT cool.

Now, I find myself loving this song. Is it nostalgia? I haven't a clue.  I crank the volume in my car and jam to something that I remember my mom loved when I was little and I hated as a teen. It seems I have come full circle. :)

i have been listening to both Metallica - Death Magnetic & Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon. I am also listening to my own album that i recorded with a writing partner of mine. So Rick's not the only song god on the forum. Rick i think we are a dying breed.

Just watched "Twilight" and really enjoyed it.  Some great music in it too.  Like this song from Paramore (who is a big fan of the book).

I always enjoy listening to Steely Dan-

And my favorite Steely Dan song:

"In the morning you go gunning
For the man who stole your water
And you fire till he is done in
But they catch you at the border..."

Norah Jones Fan here...I Love this song: "Sinkin' Soon". Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. I should have been a flapper in the Roaring 20's. I love music that's from this time or music that sounds like it. Blues, Jazz...ragtime...I love it all. :)
