I don't listen to a lot of the more screamy music, but Demon Hunter is one that I've really enjoyed. They're a Christian band from Seattle, Washington (my home state).

Normally I'm a metal head or at least heavy rock. Today I listened to the instrumental cover of The Smiths "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" by The Dream Academy. For those who don't know, this is the mellow song from Ferris Buellor in the museum scene....Not very metal true, but lovely all the same
