Amy and I got to see Styx last night in our local theater.  It was so cool.

Awesome!  I saw them a long time ago and loved the show.  Great stuff!

"Nose bleed seats"? If THOSE were nose bleed seats Rick, man, front row must have been awesome! Looks like you had pretty good seats buddy...

I agree with Al , looks like you were pretty close to the stage. Must be cool to see them in a small venue, must add to the atmosphere

Yeah it was a small place.  There were about 40 more rows above us.

Glad you got to go my friend. Styx has been one of my fav bands since the very early 80's. Van Halen too. The original Van Halen (less Michael Anthony on bass - Eddie's son Wolfgang is playing now) is touring again! WITH David Lee Roth! Joyce wanted to take me, they're going to be in Phoenix in June, but decent seats are over $200! Oh well, I'll just pop my ear buds in and listen to them through my iTunes! :)

Van Halen is still around!?  I'll never forget that  'Lost Weekend' contest they had on MTV back in the early 1980's...

I would have loved to have seen Styx when Dennis was still lead vocals.

I remember that Pete!! They're sort of still around. They've not really done much since Sammy Hagar left, and the rumor of a reunion tour with Roth has been going around for nearly a decade, BUT...now it's confirmed and tour dates have been set: http://www.van-halen.com/  The Hagar years were ok, but Roth was the man!! :)  :metallica:

My Brother and I are going to go to Van Halen in May, I saw them a few years ago when they got back together with David Lee Roth. Saw them years back as well when Sammy was headlining. The warm up act this time around (well all the time) has me scratching my head as it is Kool and the Gang. I think Van Halen old school in that they dont want the opener blowing them off the stage.

Kool and the Gang!  :lol2
