I'm very excited about Terminator returning... that's great news.

TV Series Returns — An Update

We are getting close to that time when networks will decide what shows return and which they will bury in the dead-bin. "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" fans can relax, FOX will renew the series for another season set to start for the 2008-2009 Fall Season.

The "Knight Rider" movie experiment appears to have worked for NBC. They have ordered up a season's worth of new weekly episodes for the new KITT.

CBS continues to hold its vampire series "Moonlight" in a holding pattern. Believe it or not the network, after the successful fan campaign to get "Jericho" a second season, is holding out to see what kind of fan response they can get from the show's passionate viewers before making a final decision on the series. Did "Jericho" change how CBS looks at its shows? Could be because even if "Moonlight" gets passed over for the opening fall season, the Eye Network may hold out new episodes of the throat-biter as a mid-season replacement.

"Reaper" fans will be sad to hear that their CW fave may meet the Grim Reaper. Going against ABC's mega hit show "Lost" this week will probably spell doom for the young CW show. While no final decision has been reached on its fate, things don't look good for a pickup.

"Bones," "Ghost Whisperer" and NBC's "Medium" missed the axe and will be returning.

Finally, the big boy — "Jericho." CBS has yet to decide this show's fate. The LIVE viewing numbers haven't been great, but they also haven't been that bad. Anytime a network can garner 6 to 8 million consistant viewers to sit through a one hour show week after week with all those dreaded commercials is a good thing. More importantly, CBS is looking at the DVR numbers for the show and are ecstatic. Will this be enough to keep the show on CBS? We should know within a week or two. If the final episode (there's only two left in Season Two) is a wrap up with no hanging threads, then we can be sure CBS will not give it a third season. However, if the show ends with a big cliffhanger, then that is a sign to fans that "Jericho" will return for Number Three. Keep watching!

They better bring "Moonlight" back next fall.  I lost "Journeyman" already this season.  I don't want to lose two great shows.

I can't believe they are going to give 'Knight Rider" the green light.  Every review I have heard said it was a 'steaming pile', even people who loved the original, couldn't stand the pilot.  And a FORD?!?!  Whats up with that?  When I heard of the pilot I thought they would do like they did with Transformers, get a prototype firebird, to promote the new line...what a missed chance.

Rico

Yeah - one movie and boom it's a series.  It's going to fail, mark my words.

Omra

Yeah, FORDS tend to do that.  LOL ;D

I finally just got finished watching Knight Rider the other day and I must say....it wasn't AS bad as I thought it would be.  The new one had one big thing in common with the old...it took itself more seriously than it really was.  I was OK with that.  I am not sure the series will fare that well, but it can;t be anymore cheesy than the original series.  BTW I liked Val Kilmer as KITT, I though he did well enough.

Kenny if you hear anything about October Road let me know will you? It's the best drama on TV imho.

I enjoyed the new movie. I like that they decided to try it out as a movie first. I for one am sick of investing in new shows only to have the rug yanked from under them before they had a chance to really start.

The premise, the acting, and the effects were far above their last attempt at a series and some of the current shows that are on.

I enjoy moonlighting, but anytime they are in a car I want to gag at the horrid effects. Kids are making better effects in their basements. i'm hoping that they fix the issue with the effect in the next season, but I can't be the only one that has noticed the issues.

I'm with you JustX.....It looks like the old '70s shows where they rolle dthe scenery by the car and filed it.  There is a part of me that believes it is done on purpose....it can't be that bad.  I do REALLY hope the show gets renewed because the wife and I thoroughly enjoy it.
