So yesterday we headed out after church and went to the rainforest about 40 miles from my house.  I brought back some cool photos...

what do you think?

Here is Lake Quinault

Over by the side of the road I heard the sound of water... and lo and behold... a cool little waterfall

Here is the whole waterfall

here is a place about two miles from our house just off an old highway

And now, some fun ones...

Tess the wonder dog...

A neat little shot from a museum that used to be a church

At the fireworks stand they let you do art, so I did a fun little cartoon of Darth Nader...

A guy rode up next to the fireworks stand and I took a picture of he and his dog...

another couple had a dog with two different colored eyes... how cool.

While we were driving back behind the lake we found this cool donkey.. he was called an attack donkey.  I started taking his picture and he came over and kept pawing the ground... he was ticked...

He lived in a field right next to this hay silo.

They had some sail boats on a little dock in the lake.

A nice white rose from the back yard

For some reason our Joseph Coat roses are massive this year.. lots of them!

Amy and I on our 22nd anniversary date.  We were at Olive Garden... nice food.

Nice pics. At first I thought "Rainforest? How can you just head out to the rainforest after church?" Then it hit me that a rainforest doesn't have to be tropical :D
