The Trek universe has lost another.  The Way To Eden is one of my favorite episodes.  He is actually one of the very few celebs I've met.  There was a Trek convention in Onalaska, WI many years ago and he was one of the guests.

Sorry to hear that Charles Napier has passed away.  I can hear Spock saying 'his name was Adam...' :(

Sort of changing the subject, I thought I was the only fan who who had a soft-spot for Eden, glad I am not!

sad news. The Way to Eden is among my favorites.

Jobydrone

For me his seminal role was as the lead singer of "The Good Ol' Boys" in one of my favorite comedies of all time, The Blues Brothers.  Any time I see him in anything else (and man check out his website for the amazing amount of work he's done) I think of Bob's Country Bunker and his great role in that movie.  Sad, I feel the passage of time more and more every time I hear news like this.

Oh this is sad news.  Adam is one of my favorite characters in all of Star Trek.  Charles Napier did such a wonderful job in that role.  He had so many great lines in The Way to Eden, and his singing was so fun!

"I'm talkin' 'bout you.
I'm talkin' 'bout me.
Long time back when the galaxy was new.
Man found out what he had to do.
He found he had to eat and he found he had to drink
And a long time later he found he had to think.
Uh-huh"

I'm going to watch The Way to Eden tonight and bid Mr. Napier farewell the best way I know how.

Somewhere Herbert is crying.  RIP

I just watched him in the Black Sheep Squadron playing Red Beull.  Good stuff.  Another show I'd forgotten about and am enjoying watching again.
