"Empire Strikes Back" HD screencaps

My son managed to get from his friend all of the original "Star Wars" trilogy movies in HD.  These are computer files and that's the only way I have to view them right now.  I was playing around a bit with capturing some images from them.  The recordings are in 720p.  I believe Showtime was airing these in HD for awhile.  Here are a few examples (make sure to click the image to expand it):

They look fantastic, thanks for sharing. It is possible they may come out on Blu-Ray this year, as there were some figures shown at Toy Fair from deleted scenes for ROTJ, which could be a hint that another relase of the Original Trilogy is coming

Yeah, what it's been a year or two since the last DVD release of the OT, right?  Time to come out again - this time in HD!  I predict next Christmas or fall.

Those imgaes are really nice. How did Showtime get HD versions? I would assume though that since they come from recorded images that they were not captured in HD?
