Personality Traits:  Casey is a creature of habit, which was engrained in him as a child by his parents who were both Starfleet officers. He has an obsessive-compulsive personality, but this trait mostly extends to commitment and duty and has never worked against him. He is a bit shy, but he tries to mask his awkwardness in social situations, by acting like he's enjoying himself. Casey tends to take a back seat and observe his surroundings and other people before making decisions or new friends. He is often reserved in situations until he can figure out his place in the new environment.  Peterson does not make friends easily, but when he does he is extremely loyal to them. His wife helps him to be more outgoing and was the one who encouraged him to take the bridge officers' exam.


Casey keeps a replicated, green rabbit's foot in his pocked. He knows it won't bring him good luck, but he likes to carry it with him—again, he's a creature of habit. If he can't find the rabbit's foot, he recruits his wife to help him turn their quarters inside out. As long as she has nothing else to do, she's never annoyed by her husband's quirkiness—it's one of the things that makes him the unique man she fell in love with. Besides, she met him because of that rabbit's foot she so doesn't want him to lose it either.  

Habits: Carrying the rabbit's foot. Casey is extremely neat, almost to a fault. Everything in his quarters has its place, and he has a daily routine that he tries to stick to. But he's been able to easily adapt to change even though he gets a little annoyed when circumstances demand a change in his routine.

Quarters: Neat and well organized. He has a collection of old earth surgical equipment displayed on his walls that some people find creepy. He also puts together models of ancient sailing ships. He displays his tall ships on shelves that line almost every wall ...the largest of his collection is displayed on his living room table. His wife's things are mingled with his own about their quarters.

Likes: Exotic food, Karate, cooking

Character History

2361 Casey Enters Starfleet Medical.


2367 Casey leaves his parents for his final year at Starfleet Academy, then that faithful day his world collapsed, his mother was killed during the Battle of Wolf 359

2368 After mourning the loss of his mother Casey returned to complete his education with a new found drive to do his family proud. He excelled in the Medical Sciences, as well as Star Fleet Diplomacy. Casey spent time on T'Kuht, where he was trained in Vulcan Medicine.

2369 Graduating with degrees in Vulcan, Klingon and Betazed Medicine. He has even lectured to first Year StarFleet Students on Vulcan Medicine and Physiology. Promoted to Lieutenant JG. Assigned to the USS Crazyhorse as a doctor

2374 Doctor Peterson was awarded  The Purple Heart after his Second Mission aboard the USS CrazyHorse . He was shot by a Jem'Hedar as he defended his medical staff during the Battle of Batazoid.  

2377 Peterson took a teaching assignment at Starfleet Academy and taught Advanced Surgical Procedures to fourth year medical students. During this time, Casey met his long lost love, Myella O'leary while she was on shore leave.

2379 After a long romance, they were married in San Francisco. Casey Returns to the USS Crazyhorse as the Assistant CMO

2380 Myella is assigned to the USS Tiberius

2382 Promoted to Lieutenant. Given field Promotion to CMO after the loss of the ships CMO. Promotion made permanent later that year.

2386 After a few years, Casey was given the opportunity to take the bridge officers exam. He had always wanted to command a Medical Research Vessel and saw this as a way to do it. Passing the Bridge officers exam later that year he is promoted to Lieutenant Commander.

2387 With gentle persuasion from his wife, he decides to relinquish his position as the Chief Medical Officer of the USS Crazyhorse and accepts an offer from Captain Sevryll and Doctor Drett aboard the USS Arebella as the Gamma Shift Bridge Commander and advanced medical surgeon, which reunites him with his wife who is also assigned to the USS Arabella.
