Yeah, that's called piracy.  Arrhhh, matey!

Indeed, and sorely tempting as well when watching is just a click away in lieu of waiting another week and a half for the hard copy, but then I think that karma is a b***h and my moral fortitude gets the better of me.

My justification is I am paying for it either way and I'd be skipping the commercials anyways.

Only a week to go until The Plan hits the shelves!  Future Shop has got the DVD listed at $22.99 up here.  SO I figure that maybe I can make some money off this.  I've lent my BSG discs out to at least 6 different people so if I charge them all $5 rental for this one all come out on top(maybe not after taxes)  LOL

Nice to have a fix of BSG until Caprica starts, last I heard it's slated for early 2010?

Start charging late fees and before long you'll be able to open a franchise

Well, the wife and I watched The Plan last night.  Unfortunately I can't say I was that impressed.  It was ok, but definitely not what I was hoping for.  Even now I'm finding it hard to think of things to say cause nothing particularly stood out.

[spoiler]There was an awful lot of Dean Stockwell.  I was disappointed that it only covered part of the series, I was expecting it to take us from the beginning to the end.  When we were half way through the show and only at the end of season 1 I was a little confused about what was going on.

I suppose what it was lacking for me was any real excitement.  There were virtually no battle scenes, I've always loved the vipercentric episodes.

It filled in some of the missing information but wasn't as revealing as I hoped for.

If I were on the Tuning Into Sci Fi Podcast I'd have to give this show a "see it sometime".

Yeah, I have been watching it in bits and drabs, and I cannot say that I am too impressed.
This is from a huge BSG fan.  At any rate, at least I got to see more #6....

Finished watching this today.  I kind of enjoyed it - but other than the nudity - I don't see how a casual fan would enjoy seeing this movie.  It jumped around, and unless you are familiar with every episode, I think you would get lost easily.
That being said....the more #6 I see...the happier I am!  :0

Already have a thread for this.. will combine posts.

I watched it last night and I enjoyed it pretty much.  It was obviously meant for fans since there really was no way you could follow this if you didn't already know the story.  I thought they did a good job of combining old and new footage.  The destruction of the colonies near the start was pretty cool to watch - if not depressing in a way.  I expected a bit more on "The Plan" itself and also a bit more from the other Cylon models.  We got to see a little bit but not as much as I would have liked.  It seemed to really center on the actors they could get to do it.  Overall it was ok, but I almost would have preferred just sort of an "untold story" like Razor was instead of this.  Hopefully we will get more BSG like that some time.

-  Oh, and there wasn't nearly enough Katee!

Well, this finally hit the airwaves last night, and I agree that it was a bit of a disappointment.

No D'anna?  At all?!?!?

Seemed like "The Cavell Show"

Was Cavell kissing Sharon *really* necessary?  Ew!

Seeing some of the cut footage was interesting, but there wasn't enough to make up for the lack of explanation of *why* the cylons wanted to kill all humans.

I watched it on syfy - a bit disturbing in some places but I liked the "behind-the-scenes" moments that helped to explain the events on BSG.

This was explained during the series several times about humanity having the habit of destroying their creator. The Cylons simply followed suit. It's pretty much like the various early religions now called mythology. Take Earth for example. When the new gods or creations come on the scene, they tended to kill their predecessors. The Olympians killed the titans then humanity turned the Olympians into myth. Perhaps it's fear? If something can make us, perhaps they can unmake use and the only way to stop that is to stop them.
