3rd Birthday (Parasite Eve)

Just picked up 3rd Birthday which is the third game in the Parasite Eve series. So far so good. It's only for PSP for some reason. The characters talk as opposed to the first two. It's a shooter game. What's really neat though is that instead of having lives you "dive" into other people's bodies. You definitely have to level up and boost your weapons. I'm enjoying this game. Has anyone played any of the previous Parasite Eve games?

I have not.  The originals were on the first Playstation right?  I never had one of those.  When I went to the game store with $250 bucks to get my Sony Playstation, the guy at Funcoland convinced me to buy a 3DO instead.  I enjoyed the 3DO but missed out on TONS of great games.
