Thanks Rico! My guest spots and skype calls certainly made me feel more comfortable off the bat. I find the hardest part (especially solo) is kicking off the show. It's tough having a conversation with yourself and not coming across awkward.

I used to love fiddling with settings and drivers to try and eke out a few more kilobytes of conventional memory. I'm certain I'm going to have a tech focus on boot disks in the near future. I'm pretty sure all that mucking about in autoexec.bat and config.sys is what initially got me interested in programming and system administration. :)

Hello Upper Memory Blockers!



In our first official episode we cover the 1993 LucasArts adventure game Sam & Max Hit the Road. First off, I introduce myself for those that didn't get a chance to listen to episode 0. Then we talk a bit about the adventure game genre in general. We get into a fun in-depth discussion about the game itself, including some clips, a review of the plot, fun facts and stories from its development and much more.

In our tech focus segment, we discuss the SCUMM game engine that was used to build Sam & Max Hit the Road and other LucasArts adventure games.
