[spoiler]He probably thought, rightly so, that if he took his attention away from the staredown for more than a second, the bullets would start flying.  Honestly it was like a "wtf" moment for him I'm sure, as he wasn't expecting any type of resistance at all[/spoiler]

This is what I thought ...
[spoiler]Hank was holding is gun with both hands. To reach for his badge would have given the bad guys an opening. I think he will survive this fight.[/spoiler]

I agree Rico [spoiler] I think Gomey won't live, Jesse will escape, and Hank will be wounded and Walt talks them into not killing them. But I'm wrong with my predictions every week. [/spoiler]
