As much as I agree with Bryan about the dubious health benefits of Subway, if they advertise a foot long sandwich, they should supply one.

Here is the problem with that. There is a footlong size and a foot long style. They have been selling footlong style subs from the beginning which is how you can get away with calling something a six inch footlong.

That being said, if the dough was pulled to 12 inches and shrunk in the process, it's still a 12 inch footlong by law because of the prebaking length. Sort of how a quarter pound patty is a quarter pound pre cook weight.

And people freaked out over this issue....*sighs*

Ah yes, I forgot about the pre-cooked length.

I demand that they place a ~ before the foot long moniker.    :)

The legal dept should approve that new advert.  ;)

Not that I eat there, but I am tempted to go in and offer them $4.58 for their 11".

Some people need to get a life. Weight in food like when you order a steak is  pre-cooked weight so a footlong would be pre-baked. I always like a subway and i have it as a treat. Today i hit my goal of losing 5kgs in weight (18 days) so i treated myself to a nice sausage sandwich. Tomorrow I may have a subway and I may say give me extra cheese on my 11 inches and hope not to get arrested lol

Is Medz raining on our mock-a-palooza?  I always like to have a side of schadenfreude with my take-out.  :)

Congrats on the weight loss.

"I've never seen so many people in an uproar over an inch. Wow," read one Facebook post. "Let's all head to McDonald's and weigh a Quarter Pounder," suggested another poster.

Yeah - I would opt for the 11"

1 inch and everyone goes nuts...
that's what she said...

That's what who said?  (please don't reply with just a "yes") :)
