Fine with me. Most of the mail I get is junk or bills anyway.

It doesn't bother me either. I do think it's a shame though that the postal service has been so mismanaged that it has come to this. I hate to think about so many people losing their jobs over it.

More likely forced retirements. My wife works for the gov' and that's pretty standard when it comes to cutbacks.

Mismanaged, but not on  the shoulders of the post office. They can't do anything without congressional approval, but they receive no money from the government to operate. They also have to set aside 5.5 billion each year in a trust for retirement funds, but this is a practice that isn't being applies to any part of the government.

5.5 billion for retirement funds. That seems extreme to me, but I lack perspective. Is that normal for something like this?

If this does go through.. I'm fine with it. I mean I send most of my "mail" electronically these days.
