"Defiance" - tv series/game

One of things I like about this show are all the strong female characters.  They actually just about outnumber the male actors on the show.  Works for me!   :wub

Watched the newest episode this AM.  Not a very good one IMHO.  But I think I missed something at the end:
[spoiler]Why was that baddie unshackled in the prison bus at the end?  I lost the bit of dialogue, so didn't hear the reason.
I thought it was interesting how they are exploring the idea of 'polyamory' in Defiance.  [/spoiler]

Watching tonight's episode, this has something of The Day of the Triffids about it. I can't quite put my finger on it but its in there somewhere.

ok, i have seen the show online, because i don't have cable/satellite.( i will wait for those who can't believe that is catch their breath, lol)
i ilke the show, but i feel like i have seen this same stuff somewhere else. it maybe just me, it normally is, lol.
maybe i am just getting post world burn out.  i miss the days when sci fi shows were really fresh and new.  now the shows i like are all shows like LEVERAGE, CASTLE, and HANNIBAL. i know that is a mix of shows. i think defiance is trying too hard to BG.  they want to be sci fi and gritty too. it works once, but twice is pushing it with me.

Personally I thought the last episode was better than some of the past few, but I'm starting to lose interest overall. I agree I was trying to be optimistic, but I'm losing hope in the show getting much better.

I'm still enjoying it.. it's not a "OMG it's awesome" kind of TV show... yet.. but every week when it ends I look forward to seeing the next episode.

I really enjoying this show. I'm not cutting people off in traffic to get home to see it, but I'm hungry to watch it each week. It's a damned entertaining sci-fi popcorn show. I never went in expected it to be deep, but it has been fun. I'm not expecting Game of Throne, because I already watch that show. I'm not expecting anything other than fun.

Here is something that I do know. It's developed by Rockne S. O'Bannon.

He didn't lead me work with Farscape, V, seaQuest, The Triangle, or Alien Nation. I'm aboard this to the wheel fall off. This man knows his sci-fi.

To be fair, BSG wasn't the first to use that concept. The invisible companion was seen far earlier in Farscape and if Rockne is copying anyone, it's himself.
