What part of Philly are you from?  I live in the NE, work in CC.

Just as an update to my original post here, I now am an official employee of the City of Philadelphia.  I've been working here for about a year now, in the public health system, monitoring and assisting mental retardation programs that receive public funding.

I actually live in the northern burbs - Doylestown - but often get into the NE.  The wife likes hitting some of the Russian markets nears Bells Corner!  :)

Does being a theatre student classify as a job????

No, damn!

Waiting to here back to see if I got a waitressing (sp) job over the summer before I head back to uni in September
Captain Kathryn Janeway: [entering the mess hall] Coffee, black.
Neelix: Uh, sorry, Captain. We lost two more replicators this morning...
Captain Kathryn Janeway: Listen to me very carefully, because I'm only going to say this once: Coffee. Black.
Neelix: Yes, ma'am.

Hey guys. Really cool finding out who you guys are behind the login in name. I run my own painting and decorating buisness here in the uk. Slowly been moving into restoration work and have had some unique commissions to carry out. My last work was the restoration of some 17th century oak beams in a small cottage near where I live. Love my job and get a buzz out of doing it well.
In life all you need to be happy is a roof over your head, a bottle of wine and a good episode of Star Trek....everything else is a bonus.

yeah Meds, kind of fell into it after school. Loved it and went on from there. You know when people say somethings as boring as watching paint dry.......well I know actually how long it takes to dry.......

As for what I do for a living.  I have worked in the private security industry for more than ten years.  My position is that of a unarmed uniformed security officer.  I have also been a supervisor in the Field for 9 of those years.  I was working for one of he largest security providers in the world.  I recently quit work there and relocated to another city and I have been working for  a new compmay now, in a different city, I moved to be closer to my gf.  I suppose my dream job would be a scientist, engineer or astronaut.  I wanted to be a medical doctor at one time but things did not work out that way.     :old_bash:
I am going with the best information that I have.

Don't know that I've ever said what I do for a living...well, I'm a scientist working on a cure for male pattern baldness. Of course, I don't like wearing those little rubber gloves, so you can imagine my hands are quite hairy. :)

Just kidding. I can't believe that I've been here for so long and haven't told y'all what I do! I work for a private post-secondary university as the Veterans Educational Benefits Administrator. Been doing this now for 12 years, seems like 100. Not a very impressive, or even fun job, but it pays (some) of the bills! I'm pretty thankful that in such a difficult economic climate (here in the U.S.), I have a job with benefits. So there you have it. I'm a boring administrator. And wannabe writer/voiceover talent/podcaster/film maker!! :)
