we need to have a joint showing, you with your paintings and my music playing in the background.

That would be awesome. Epic.

moyer777

well, if you ever have a showing that will let you do that, I will deliver a collection of mp3s that fit the theme.  I think that would be cool.  I'll private message you with some codes to get what  I have already out.

:)

Very cool Rick I'll certainly keep that in mind for future possibilities.

Yay, I'm finally employed again!  :metallica:

I hadn't mention it on the forums, but It's been almost a year now of being turned down or worse - getting no response at all.

Then bam! Two days after submitting another resume I get called in for an interview  and an hour later receive their job offer as a full time prepress tech.

- Wow times have changed since I did this last... no more stat cameras and hand stripping film on light tables. Everything is digital now - cool!

My business has started to take off and I am so busy I can't see straight!  At least I have been for a few weeks.  I've been doing quite a bit of video game music for different games.  That is very fun!!!!

Here are two videos I did with the Toursim Council at Dauphin island.   I co wrote the video, did the music and the voice overs.  A company called Ideawercs took the footage and helped me write it.  Very fun project.  I have three more videos on my contract with them.

Well since last time I posted here I'm doing a lot more teaching as a Les Mills fitness instructor. Still with the BodyCombat and I've also gotten certified in BodyAttack as well. And looking at BodyStep as my next program in June (we more dudes in the BodyStep classes so I figured I take on the challenge).

At the gym we're launching the new releases of choreography this next week. Pretty pumped to start teaching BodyCombat 55 and BodyAttack 80!!

dave- Holy cow. That's crazy. The swervy swervy landing is freaky....
What is the purpose of the chase car? Looks exciting.

rick- Great to hear! Nice work in the vids, very smooth and professional.

dan- Sounds like fun/satisfying job. You have martial arts background? I've learned a little boxing and some muay thai in the past-- by far the hardest workouts I ever had.

I have a more recent martial arts background. I always wanted to do martial arts when I was a kid, but never did (grew up in a small country town so it was never practical), and during college (4 years ago now) I start doing Jiu Jitsu (which is my main focus), and little striking, mainly kickboxing. BodyCombat though a fitness and cardio class does encompass a lot of the forms of martial arts, and I've studied a little more outside of Combat into the forms to help bring out their energy and authenticity in my classes. We do a lot of Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Muay Thai, and even Capoeira in BodyCombat!

That was a guy who was trying out to qualify as a U2 pilot.
Even with previous flight experience in cargo or fighters jets, he still only get three tries during the interview process.

It's a real balancing act to land on just two inline wheels, especially on a windy day, and not everyone can do it.
The U2 has a 140 foot wingspan and uses two extra temporary wheels to take off. They drop away after liftoff - pretty crazy.

Even if they qualify for the rest of the flying... if they can't land, get washed out.

So if it's not easy to land, as a bonus, the pilot can't see the runway and there's no proximity detector in the cockpit.
The chase car (Pontiac GTO) tells the pilot how close he is to touch down in feet.

dan- Very cool, jiu jitsu looks awesome. I'm a mma fan, love watching ufc... amazing and exciting sport. Actually that's pretty much the only sport I watch now (sometimes boxing too...the big fights at least).

dave- That's a crazy plane! :) Thanks for explanation.

Sound like when I was flying gliders back in 1998, we had one wheel and a skid on the nose :)
