U.S.S. Integral - reference to the ship being designed in the novel We by Zamiatan which was the inspiration for 1984 by Wells. (right?)

U.S.S. Alabama - cuz it would be neat to shout "Go 'Bama!  Roll Tide!" after general muster.

U.S.S. Ford - C'mon we like the guy....

U.S.S. King - Was King's dream of the future that much different than Roddenberry's?

U.S.S. Hefner - wait.. nevermind.

U.S.S. Archer - though maybe if they were going to name a ship after him it'd be a galaxy class?
