Looking forward to seeing your site Jen, Sounds like it is going to be great. The flash has me really intrigued, and I see where you would want it finished before posting the feed, to complete the whole package. A friend and I have been working on a non sci-fi podcast, between that and the setup site, it is a lot of work . Fortuntely for us, he is good at graphics and is a video editor, so all the podcast stuff he handles, and my strengths are in website setup and maintenance, setting up the podcast feed, etc etc..., so works out good for us.

Ah, you'll have to tell us what you're podcast is about. I'd love to hear it. I subscribe to alot of non-sci-fi podcasts.

Our site is a hybrid site (flash/html). We're using Flash components like a XML MP3 player, animated buttons, as well as flash photo galleries. The over all design looks nothing like what we currently have up right now...the logo is the same but that's it.

What's your podcast called Jeff?

Hi Jen

A friend and I are doing a podcast on auto racing series we both follow called Champ car. They race in our home town of Edmonton here in Canada, as well different areas in the US/Mexico/Canada/Australia and Europe.

The URL to my site is www.champodcast.com. We felt since there was many Podcasts on Nascar and Formula One, that we should do one on Champ car. Any suggestion/comments on the site or our podcast would be appreciated. We got our first one up, though listening to it, not as polished as yours. Plus I need to work on my speaking/pronunciation, as I sound very Canadian, more then I realized.

Oh, don't do that. That's one of the things that makes listening to podcast so much fun. Its nice to hear something different than what you're used to.

You may think we don't have accents, but if you listen to Angela and I closely, you'll notice we drop our "t's" a "d's". I never really noticed it until I began scrutinizing our podcast for mistakes. I think only another Texan could pick up on those inflections I mentioned. Although its slight, my drawl comes out when I'm surprised/exicted or when I'm at home with my family. In our first podcast, when Angela was say that someone gave her a vintage, in package, Princess Leia as a wedding giftâ€"BUT she couldn't find it. I was so surpised and dismayed that my drawl came out. I said "Wah? Ya cain finer?!"
I also kept saying "Peanuh gallery". Ug... :D

I'll download your cast to listen.  ;)

LOL, Thanks Jen. When I listened to it after I recorded, I said "eh" more times the I realized, sounded like I was on the Bob and Doug McKenzie show (Canadian Comedy reference, as they made "eh" famous)

I guess like you said, might take a person from the region to really recognize, as I never really noticed your Texas accents.

ah yes, but were you eating back bacon?

"Take off, to the Great White North! Take off, it's a beauty way to go!"

Don't be such a hoser.

"Give all cops donuts"

I wore out my cassette of those guys..  they were very funny.

I have been and always will be, your friend.

I just finished listening to your third podcast. I really enjoyed your comments on BSG.. not that I agree with all of them but it was fun. I liked the segment on Renfes, I found it very eye opening. I have never been to one but always wanted to go and they sound more like a rave. Not sure I would enjoy the night life but it sounded just as I imagined during the day with all the activities.

I noticed that you guys didn't split your audio this time.. much better.

Let me know when you get a feed on itunes I'd be happy to subscribe.

Yeah...in hawaii we have a flat accent as in no accent i wish i did accents rock

Dave and I were like alien observers on our first trip to Renfest. It was all about experiencing the festival for me, dressing up and enjoying seeing other great costumes. :)

The Hippie camp is more like Woodstock...not ravish...Although, the only thing I know about raves is from what I've seen on CSI.  The people in the camp were friendly, willing to just come chat with you. The family camp is nice and quietâ€"very safe.  Renfest is so fun...I would definitely recommend visiting during the day if your not into camping.

Its very loud at night (you can't sleep)â€"there are also some weirdos hanging out around there. Just a lot of stuff you have to watch out for.

I HAVE been to a rave and it is nothing like a rave. A little closer to Woodstock however, not because you really can segregate yourself from the other camps. Like we said in the 'cast...it is like you have your own tribe and if you want to cross over into another one or commune together like at the bonfire you can just do it. But people pretty much leave you alone unless you put yourself out there.

And as far as the "adult" stuff. It is all the things at 12 that you think you understand and can handle, but really you can't and when someone my age says that you want to experience more but really it is better than you don't until you are a little older....trust me. Think of it like a virtual online game. It is basically PG BUT CONTENT CAN CHANGE ANYTIME!!! And that is the best I can do there. Thanks for listening. We hope to be on Itunes soon.

So it is like World of warcraft...there are Massive jerks and Nightelf Chicks dancing...The Kid stuff seemed..kiddie where it is 7 and younger...

You've got a cool perspective. You just need a format. Like any great show, it just needs time to take shape. I like the fact that you're as open with your opinions on things. I'm like Carlos Mencia, not always accepting of too much political correctness. It will be interesting to see the community that springs up around your show.

All the best.

Jen/Angela -
I listened to your 3rd show today.  Really liked it.  I used to go to Ren Faire's almost every year but haven't in the last couple of years much.  I did go one year to help with the world largest juggling gathering for a world record.  I can juggle pretty well and anyone that could, got in free.  I don't think we ended up with enough for a record though.

I liked the mixed sound better, easier to listen to I thought.  Keep up the great work!  Looking forward to the next show!
