Here is a horror story for you all, My parcell arrived in toronto, Canada on Monday, Wednesday it cleared customs, but DHL lost it because there driver failed to scan it, then by the end of the day I get the notification. Bad Address. Phoned customer service and was told, oh it did not go out today, It went out, but driver said you moved. These idiots have sent 4 packages to me in the last three weeks.

The problem is I am on vacation 400 miles away from my home so my mom had to be home.

So called customer service was phoned 5 times to ask for my address, which was on the packing slip, so no bad address, it was correct to begin with.. Thursday they send it out with a second wave driver, again no scan, so they did not know where it is and could not tell me if it was out again my mom waited, called her around 4.15pm in the afternoon no package again, then check status and see message attempted delivery at 4.19 pm. They left no slip saying they were there etc..

Friday

This time I got a customer service Manager involved, asked them to phone my mom and tell her when delivery would be made and phone me. Same crap, the item was not scanned so a trace initiated, 12pm left message don't know where package is, by now my mom has been waiting for 3 days, Phone dhl up at 7pm, they have no idea what happened. My mom just happens to be upstairs, when the driver shows up at 8.45pm with the package, Meanwhile DHL did not even know this package was on the truck, I have filed a grievance with dhl, and they refunded my duty and will be covering the cost of my next letter, Plus they will be firing the idiot who said I moved.

I know when I got some items shipped via DHL a few months back, they called me and told me that they were unable to locate my address, so that I was to come and pick it up. I did not mind to much as they were close to where I live and open late. But found it odd that my address was clearly marked on the package, so not sure if they even bothered trying to deliver.

Sorry to hear about your problems with DHL.. I've been lucky.. I get stuff from DHL all the time.. the thing I love about them is that they will just leave the package on my doorstep.. no signature required.

The only item I ever had arrive broken was via DHL.  They are not the greatest, but they are cheap!

I am starting to agree with you guys more and more about DHL. I have something from Master Replicas that is being sent by DHL. I have been following the tracking on their website, and this morning, it said it was out with Courier. I was home all day, and nothing. I checked tonight, and it was checked back in as not delivered. They never even tried to deliver to my house. If my place was difficult to get to I would understand, but it is literally 7 - 10 minutes away, and we are both off the same road. If they don't want to deliver it, then at least phone me and tell me it is in. Having some driver put it in his truck, and drive around all day with it seems pointless. Considering the last time they never bothered to deliver, I am thinking that they must have their runs, and if I am lucky and they have time, they will deliver. I would complain, but since my Gree helmet will be delivered by them, I don't want to do anything to upset these guys, as I have visions of them throwing the box around.

I will say it again.  DHL is the worst.  Good luck on your package Jeff.  I hated it when MR switched to them.

Sorry to here about your problem, the problem is the drivers lie through their teeth also, just read my hassel at the beginning of this thread, we really should complain to master replicas as the delivery people they had before were alot better, I think it would be a lot better to pay alittle bit more, then go through all this crap.

iceman - when I saw your DHL NightMare post my blood began to boil.

I Hate DHL!!! (sorry)
They used to be called AirBorne, and Ill bet their reputation got so bad that they had to change their name. I get packages shipped to my home on a regular bases. UPS has no trouble, FedEx has no trouble - but Airborne (now DHL) has routinely missed my address for days or lost my packages.
The last straw was when they lost a $500.00 video card that I had purchased online with my signature required for delivery, they claimed that my secretary had signed for it. I told them that I live in a house not a business and sure don't have a secretary. I called DHL customer no-service, emailed them and finally had to cancel the purchase on my credit card.
I won't buy anything if I know beforehand that it has to ship with DHL
