Thanks again everyone! Yep, it's the thought that counts when it comes to gifts. I NEVER exchange anything for that very reason. In fact, my Nana (grandmother) once bought me an "Eggstractor" for Christmas. It extracts hard-boiled eggs from the shell. I never knew such wonderous technology existed...Unfortunately, it never worked. But I still have it because my Nana gave it to me.

My husband used to make things for meâ€"once he made me a beautiful Birds Eye Maple table top mirror. I love those "from the heart", "made with love" gifts...He's a master woodworker, and he used to own his own custom cabinet and furniture company. Now he runs a print shop and he doesn't have the time to create the custom furniture and whatnots anymore.

Most of the time he just requests a birthday/Christmas"list"...He had to keep bugging me about it this year, because I took so long to actually sit down and make one. He ended up juking meâ€"he asked for the list after he bought the gift. Then once I finished making my "birthday list", he looked it over, to see if what he got was on it, and laughed. He had read my mindâ€"I had never mentioned that I actually wanted what he bought for me. He gave me the Bose Triport Headphones and made me a wonderful birthday dinner.

My pal Angela (archangela) and my co-workers bought me a geeky shirt that says "Come to the Darkside....we have cookies". Once it comes in the mail, I'll take a picture and post it. :D

Thanks again for the birthday wishes. They made me smile!
