Thanks!

By the way, let me take this opportunity to say that I'm incredibly impressed by how this RPG is growing and evolving.  Each season manages to top the one before it.  Kudos to all of the writers; the contributions of each and every participant have been outstanding!  I look forward to seeing what comes next!  :)

If you can remain calm when all around you are panicking, you probably didn't understand the question

Aside from me, I'm not sure that anyone here is paid to be creative. It's just something fun we all try squeeze into our schedules. ;)

You're always welcome to rejoin Geoff. :)

Actually, I am paid to be creative (as I think many of us are here in our daily jobs).  And I have two patents and daily MacGyver type requests to show for it.  ;)

Making this site actually do anything useful took a metric ton of  creativity on my part.

Not to get too off topic, but in this day and age I think just about every job takes a big amount of creativity.  Unless you are a line worker putting the same nut on a bolt all day, most positions are asking more and more for new ideas from their employees.  Just about a week or so ago we had a half day session at my job just talking about new products to work on and brainstorming.  It's just a way of working in the 21st Century.

P.S.  Nice site Billy.

Well. I had an office job while I was in school where I basically did a lot of data entry and reports. So instead of just doing them, I'd find interesting ways to auto-generate my reports using Excel and things of the like. Even if your job doesn't really NEED you to think, you can force it to. if I hadn't done stuff like that I'd have gone nuts.

You can only get so creative at Taco Time/Safeway/Home Depot etc.  But I see your point.

I always find something creative to do. Even when i worked at Woolworths i found my creative streak by laying the cards out in the shelves so the first word of each saying (Happy Birthday = H) would end up saying a rude or suggestive word. Oh the fun.

billybob476

I always forced myself to keep busy at McDonald's. We had this one manager that would make you do ridiculous 'maintenance' tasks if you weren't busy. I had to clean the ceiling one day, another day he had me cleaning the grout lines on the floor times in the storage room! After that I always just pretended to clean.

BTW, when I said I that I thought I may be the only one paid to be creative in the RPG, I meant it in the literal sense—artistically. I didn't mean to imply that your various jobs don't require some creative thinking. No insult was intended. I was just trying to encourage Geoff.  :)

Stay on target... stay on target.  :dstar

Try not to get to far off topic. We should leave this thread for well earned pats on the back. Even if you're not a member of the RPG, you are welcome to comment on what you have read there. But remember it's called "Comments... and Complements". ;) Be nice.
