Yeah we REALLY enjoy this show....One of the best "new" shows so far this year.

I particularly like the attention to the small things that give in the certain periods....him jumping back to the airplane in the seventies was awesome....smoking, toy guns etc.

OUCH !! http://tv.yahoo.com/falltv2007/photos/shows-in-trouble/169

I guess some shows - including Desparate Cavemen - is cancelled.

Darth Gaos

Not cancelled....just in trouble...in their opinion.  Hopefully Journeyman picks up some new viewers because that is an enjoyable show.

I sure hope Journeyman continues on, as I am really enjoying it, probably my favorite new show of the season. This weeks epsiode was another good one, and had Dr Phlox as well :). Star Trek Night, with Lt Uhura and Lt Reed on Heroes

What I like is every week, they give you a little more on they how/why questions.   I still get a queezy feeling this will be a self-fulfilling prophecy.  That he was meant to go back and change things to make his time travel possible.   I don't how they will resolve the storyline without ending the show -- it will be too Quantum leapish.  The only reason I'm watching is to see how it will pan out.

FYI - we could be living in a timeline influenced by a time-traveler from the future (or past).  We would never know it ---- ooooooo, that's SCAREY.

I'm really digging this show.  I look forward to it every week.  Of course Heroes is simply rocking, but I like Bionic Woman and Journeyman a lot.

I have been and always will be, your friend.

NBC Gives Journeyman Two-Week Notice

http://www.sliceofscifi.com/2007/11/22/nbc-gives-journeyman-two-week-notice/

Submitted by Kevin Bachelder (SerenityFirefly.com)

This may be just rumor, because I can't believe NBC is about to cancel their best new show this season, and one of the most intriguing shows on the air.

From Zap2It Blogs:

We're hearing that the next two weeks are crucial for NBC's Journeyman. While nothing official has been decided, the rumor is that if the Nielsen numbers don't rise for the Nov. 19 and 26 episodes, the network will yank the show, without airing all the episodes produced.

The network is only interested in the live Nielsens, not DVR viewers or downloads, says a show staffer. This is a problem for the show, because the majority of emails the show gets is from fans who watch online. Since ads touting the ability to watch Journeyman for free online are common, that's hardly surprising.

Looks like it's time to write more letters.

I think this is just a rumor.. I can't see NBC pulling the rest of Journeyman episodes (if they are actually made) because of the strike. They may not bring it back next season but they won't pull something just because of low ratings... they have nothing to fill it with.

jedijeff

I really hope they dont pull it, This is one of my favorite shows of the season so far. I think they should show all epsiodes produced, as I think that it would not be fair to the people who watch to just pull it leaving unaired episodes.

wow. I guess it's time to save the show. Umm did I mention that my extended family is a Nielson Family? I just need to go up and actually set the box when the show comes on and we can get it raised

Journeyman To End?

Kevin Falls, creator of NBC's time-traveling series Journeyman, told the Premium Hollywood Web site that it's possible the freshman show will end with episode 12, the last one produced, given the show's low ratings and the ongoing writers' strike.

"Episode 12 is the end of our order," Falls told the site. "And let's not kid ourselves. It's a longshot that we would get a back nine, given the strike and our questionable numbers." Falls referred to the additional nine episodes NBC would have to order to constitute a full season.

Falls added that episode 12 is written in such a way that it could constitute an end to the series should it be canceled. "It wouldn't answer every question, but it would give you a lot to chew on," he said. "We would give you some answers, and we'd withhold others."

Should the show return for a second season, he said, "we didn't want to turn over every card. But I think people will find it satisfying, and it's really good."

In the upcoming 12th episode, Dan (Kevin McKidd) encounters another time traveler. "And you'll get some of the answers to what goes on," Falls said. Journeyman airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. (NBC is owned by NBC Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM.)

This is a really good show.  I'd hate to see it end so fast.  At least we may get a few answers before the end.

I have a question.  In one of the earlier articles posted it said that the network does not care about downloads and DVR views.....WHY NOT?!  So say the show has 1.5 million actual viewers but an additional 3 million people download it or DVR it....Why, on the Good Lord's green earth, would that NOT be taken into account?  Is it a matter of tracking?  I really don't understand the logic.

Advertisers don't pay for DVR viewing or downloads. They pay for people to watch their commercials during a show. If people are skiping the commericials thanks to Tivo, it does not benefit the advertisers and thus the numbers don't add to the profit of the show or the bottom line.
