Yep.  That beautiful ship is the Glorious Heritage Class heavy cruiser Andromeda Ascendant.  Wasn't that show a brainchild of Gene Roddenberry?

Sorry to interrupt, but my mom just mentioned that she thought that was a great series.  We were talking about the loss of several Sci-Fi shows.   She has yet to find it on DVD though.  :(
