LOL  I Recognized Desslok before I noticed the text in the picture; I'm a fan of Japanese animation. :)

Here's a cartoon that was re-edited and dubbed for release in the U.S. when I was a kid; it was a favorite of mine:

Clue-
The series is loosely based on a classical Chinese literary work called Journey To The West, which tells the story of a Buddhist monk's pilgrimage to India during the Táng dynasty.
