Very thoughtful posts folks.  Just shows the quality of people here.  I really think it's up to you how you want to participate.  If you're a more casual player just create a smaller character role for yourself and pop in when you can.  For others, continue the way you have.  Pretty simple.

I really miss being part of it.  With all that happened, holidays in my profession, the storm and limited access, I got way behind.  I couldn't follow it cause I didn't make time to catch up. 

Hopefully I can participate more in the next season.  After we move back in and get on a normal schedule it should work ok.

Sometimes, I get a little lost in the technobable.  I really enjoy the character development, and when a post is really long I tend to skim it and skip over some of it. 

Anyway, all that to say, I am looking forward to our new season, the Counselor will hopefully be back in full swing, even though you could all probably sue me for malpractice.... all that misdiagnosing going on. :)  Glad we are in the federation.

I think that you made great contributions and it wasn't your fault the diagnosis was off since you weren't given a accurate medical profile. You could probably sue for fraud.

I think that some of the posts can get a little daunting, but when taken as a whole, it paints a very rich story. I've been really enjoying the level of detail that Wraith and Ducks have put in their posts this season. They are great additions and I can't speak highly enough of the entertainment that I have been getting from the cast that continues on into season 4.

Another positive that I have to thank Kenny and Jen for is the joint posts that people have come up with. It has allowed the voice of the individual characters to be maintained more consistantly through the story.


As for the technobable. I agree with you about it and love it at the same time. Trek without technobable ... isn't that Star Wars? Unless you count Miticlorines as an attempt at technobable. ... Just kidding.

Truthfully, I would love to do a joint post or to with you this season because Aeric might need a shrink.

well I am very excited about the new season and feel comfortable that we have had a proper vetting of some of the issue's which were of a concern for me regarding the previous season. It is in no way a criticism, it's simply voicing an opion. I though you all did a great job. :)

I like the idea.  I have a character who's currently the second officer... You are welcome to use her or create your own NPC. They could be a total jerk or they could be just unsure of what to do in that position. One of the main characters could stand up to her/him/whoever and take over until Quinn is able command (if he ever looses control...that hasn't been determined).

The second officer would work well, although after they way I am thinking about making the incompetent act, the Captain may not want to keep them!  I doubt that even their mother is going to like this person after I am through with them...lol

When you guys create a NPC... Go ahead and create a little profile (especially if you're going to be playing them primarily). Kenny placed his in the Active Character Profile Section. Make sure in the Subject Heading you indicate they are a NPC.  Kenny's NPC is named "Ensign Took". Check it out his profile when you get a chance.

If your character is sick, you can use the NPC as a way to help solve the problems as a virus resistant individual.

I'm going to work up another character (maybe 2) before Sunday.  A science officer.  Maybe one other too.  Since Talbot stayed on Romulus.
