Well as I've mentioned a few times, the wife and I are just about wrapped up re-watching DS9 from start to finish. It's taken a good few months. Since there isn't a whole lot on TV right now and we like the on demand-ness of DVDs we're trying to figure out what to watch next.

We've done DS9 and Enterprise back to back so we're trying to find a good non sci fi series to watch (or re watch). We're pretty open, though I think a good drama would be great.

Any recommendations?

Billy, I've always enjoyed NCIS. I think it's a far better drama than CSI and yet in a similar vein. The cast is wonderful and have real chemistry together. It can be a little dark at times but never as dark as CSI imho.

Kinda depends on what you like.  DO like reality TV (REAL reality TV) like Mythbusters, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel....or are you looking more for 30 min to 1hr dramas or comedies etc

I'm thinking along the lines of 1 hour dramas.

My wife and I really like 24 (my wife is in love with Jack Bauer).

Also FX has what I think are some of the best dramas around. Definitely more adult content but really good shows.

Nip/Tuck
The Shield
Rescue Me

Hm, we watched Nip/Tuck for the first few seasons but it just got waaaay to out there. I hear a lot of good things about The Shield.

My Brother really likes Prison Break, I need to borrow the DVD's from him sometime, as I hear a lot of good things about it. I really enjoy the Office, and it is fun to watch a bunch of Episodes of that in a row. Another show I started watching this year was Las Vegas, I like how some episodes are fun and light, and others more serious or action filled.

The show Las Vegas is really good...drama, caomedy, action all in one show.  Also I have to reinforce one that Kenny listed....The West WIng is one of the best dramas ever produced for TV IMO.  If you have any interest in politics this is the drama for you.  I am a bit more conservative in my politics so I didn't really agree with alot of what was going on politically in the show because this show was absolutely the opposite in its chosen topics but it didn't matter . This show was SO FABULOUSLY written and acted that I was VERY upset when the last show aired a couple of years ago.  Shows of that caliber are few and far between these days.

"24" is great if you have never seen it.  "Prison Break" was very good at first but has kind of weakened some over the years I think.  Oh, and "House."  Gotta love House.

The Unit, Numb3rs, Burn Notice and that show with Jeff Goldblum

And how can we forget Family Guy, American Dad, Simpsons

Blackride

24 is awesome except for the last season which I found a bit bland..... You could also try LOST!
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

Billy,

I finally have a response to this and it is in two words OCTOBER ROAD!

This is an awesome drama. It's about a famous novelist who left his home town ten years ago and wrote a book about the people he knew. He's celebrated everywhere except in his home town where his past friends, girlfriend etc. were not happy that their dirty laundry had been made so public. He comes back after ten years having no contact, not even with his father, and finds a young boy who "may" be his own child. A girlfriend who never forgot him and how much his family and his best friends were hurt by his departure. This is one of the finest dramas in television and worth investing in. If you cannot find a way to see this show drop me a PM. You'll not regret it.

Oh I forgot to mention how well acted this drama is and every role is perfectly casted. There is not one character that you think "I would like the show more if he/she was not on here". The chemistry is amazing and rarely seen on TV.

A series from a few years back that my wife and I both enjoyed was called "Once and Again."  Basically it was about the story of two people who had gotten divorced and then meet and fall in love.  Starred Sela Ward and Billy Campbell.  There was a great supporting cast too.  Lasted about three seasons.  Well worth a look.
