I curiuos about that new OS. I hope to get a Macbook by end of summer and hopefully they will have a decent windows xp emulator.

that would appear to be the case... yeah my friend just got a mac book pro... or something... i dont pay attention to apple products, but just for spock i will check it out and then let you all know what i think.

I know several people who use Macs -- all shapes,styles and sizes.  Heck, I use an iPod.  I'm only 3 letters from using a Mac. :P  I have seen some previews of the new windows (can't recall the code name) but there were some Mac type interfaces.

I'm just surprised all these guys do not put their heads together and come with something far superior.

I have always been in favor of short learning curves and simpler is better.  Not sure if windows or mac qualifies for either.  The one nice thing about Macs is clutter reduction.  I remember with the iMacs -- 3 cords and you're good to go.

I imagine one of these days, I will get one for a test drive.

wow, that 3 letters thing is funny... nice. yeah, i agree with you. Microsoft and Apple should merge and make LCARS....
Maybe not LCARS, but they should merge.

Aww, someone should seriously make an LCARS template for XP or Vista or Mac, or make a whole new OS called LCARS. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!!
