I hate to admit it but I'm a little confused as to the timeline for the Caprica series and BSG, mostly because it's been too long since I've seen the latter.
Kind of trying to figure out how the final five cylons fit into this whole picture. I'm under the (possibly mistaken) impression that they had something to do with the development of the Cylon race in the 12 Colonies after arriving there from the wrecked Earth.
Liking the character of Dr. Graystone. IMO Eric Stoltz is a good fit for this particular role. He's been one of my favorites since the film "Killing Zoe" back in 1993 and can carry a quietly intense, conflicted character really well.

I wonder if we will ever meet the original humans the 12 were based upon.  For example, Col. Tighe.

It is interesting.   How many years is this before the Cylons attack?  I wonder if they will try to cover the entire time period.  So, bascially Zoe found a way to "download" her conscience into a computer.  Sounds pretty advanced for a teenager.  I have to think she got some help.  I hope this will not be a time-travel, self-fulfilling prophecy thing.

Yeah right Baltar will pop out of no where

I wonder if
Zoe's Mother is the initial cause of her/the Cylons turning against humanity? She has outed her as a terrorist now.
I think you may have something there, although I believe Dr. Graystone is also going too play a pivotal role in starting the Cylon War(other than actually building the first centurian). His character reminds me of Baltar before the the destruction of the colonies. Ruthless and maybe a little too quick to justify his own misdeeds.

Ok, why did he change the family name from Adams to Adama?

They were Adama on Tauron but changed it to  more "respectable" Admas when they move to Caprica. Now that he is embracing his peasant past, he changed it back. Good episode last night!

We've had the first two over here now. I assume that they made up the content of the DVD release?

I can't say it was quite what I was expecting and it took a little getting used to.
Seeing the updated-original Cylon brought out goose-bumps, and once we heard the immortal 'By your command' I was set to watch at least the next few episodes.

I never realised what a gut level emotional reaction that phrase would produce in me.
We'll see if it can retain my interest but it's off to a good enough start.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I love the robotic voice. It's the only reason I'm watching! :)

Seriously though, this has potential and I too am wondering how the whole timeline fits together.

Bromptonboy

I am current on this show - and I can say that I am not hooked like I was with BSG (orig and remake) - but I will continue to watch.
The mob aspect is entertaining - I am waiting for a horsehead to show up in Greytones's bed...or a fish wrapped in newspaper to say that 'Baltar sleeps with the fishes tonight'
Does anyone else wonder who that shadowy character was that spoke to the teacher when she was in the 'confessional'-like booth?  I wonder if it is one of the 'Final 5' or perhaps the Head Baltar?
Blackride

I just watched the 1st episode and LOVED it!!!!
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

The teacher just plain creeps me out. Very unnerving.

I liked the way they did the back and forth with showing the girl and the big robot/cylon in the first series episode.  Really cool way to show it I thought.  Haven't seen the most recent episode yet, but the show is intriguing me so far.

billybob476

Yup, enjoying it. I'm glad this is a SyFy show. They'll give it the chance it deserves.
