I encoded the file with art. It should be there. Seems like this "Instacast" has a love hate relationship with our show. :D Also, I set the file to "remember playback position". It should have picked up where it left off.  I'm doing everything the same as I have always done with regards to that. I'm guessing these "streaming" gizmos don't recognize the encoding I add from iTunes. Doesn't anyone use iTunes anymore?  LOL.

Lol it's not the end of the world but other shows info does come through on Instacast (as in Joe's screen capture) so something is going on somewhere :)

Our next review will be on "Spaceballs". We're recording that episode on July 8. We'd love to get your mp3 comments for this movie. You can call our voice mail line (the # is found on our contact page) or you can send a short mp3 comment to girly geekz at gmail dot com.

And you can sign up to get episode alerts and other announcements as well. This is a new feature, I'm still in the process of compiling a list of everyone who has contacted the show, so you may already be on it if you've ever emailed us:

This weekend, Anne (I don't think she's on these boards, but she's over at Anomaly's), KC, and I will be recording an "Anomaly Supplemental" episode about Jim Henson's Labyrinth.  Any comments, email or mp3, are welcome and appreciated.  Comments can be sent to moregirlygeekz at gmail dot com

Tonight, Friday the eighth of July, Angela and I will be recording a review of Mel Brooks' Spaceballs. It's not my favorite movie, but it's a classic sci-fi spoof and worth a look in our Anomalous opinions. We sent out a newsletter earlier this week, informing our listeners that we were recording this episode. We had a reply from one individual telling us that they'd never seen it and thus could not comment...another said it was "okay, but not worth the comment". :D  Does everyone feel this way? Help us out, please. What do you think of Spaceballs? You don't have to like this film to send us your thoughts. In fact, it would be awesome sauce to have a mix of opinions. Call our google voice mail number and leave your two cents before 4 pm Central Standard Time. (432) 363-4742 or email your mp3 to girlygeekz at gmail dot com.  We'll even take written comments. Peace out! :)

Angela and I are recording an episode on Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers, this evening. If you have audio comments, send them our way. girlygeekz[at]gmail.com VM: (432) 363-4742. Don't worry, no one is going to pick up the phone and say "hello?" It's a Google Voice Mail line. :) Please, don't add copyrighted music in the background if you email us an MP3. We're going to start being good little podcasters. Deadline is 5PM Central, for on show replies to listener comments. We'll accept them later but we won't be able to respond in our episode. Thanks for helping out. Your feedback always makes our show better.

In September, the hosts of Anomaly and Anomaly Supplemental will get together for a roundtable discussion about female fans and stereotypes that we sometimes face from media and even other fans. We will also be adding prerecorded interviews with some prominent women in the fan community: Mur Lafferty (author of Marco and The Red Granny and other sci-fi novellas, host of I Should Be Writing, Kung Fu Action Grip and Escape Pod), Teal Sherer (Venom from The Guild), Marian Call (Geek musician)  and Mignon Fogerty (host of Grammar Girl).

We want to include your thoughts as well. Please take this short survey to share your opinions of how women have been portrayed in science fiction and fantasy media (games, television, film, literature, etc). We'll also ask if there were any sci-fi/fantasy characters that inspired you as you grew. Men and women are both welcome to take the survey. Results will be shared on Anomaly's September roundtable episode.

It won't accept my answers. Losing patience. Here are some answers:

1) Other; ST: Voyager (Captain Janeway); Babylon 5 (various strong female characters)

2) Closest would be either Sarah Connor as she stayed strong against overwhelming opposition. Angela Bassett as Lornette 'Mace' Mason in "Strange Days" (I always thought she should have been Capt. Janeway).

8) There are equal amounts of sexism, heroism and walking wounded in both media.

I don't play games and am not totally versed in all TV shows/movies/novels/comic books.

Hope this helps.

What do you mean it won't accept your answers? Let me know...I'll see if I can fix the problem. I've never used SurveyMonkey before, it's possible I did something wrong...but there are questions that are required (they have * next to them). If you skipped one or two, it may not accept the survey as a whole.
