Many of my answers were "other". If I recall correctly, there might have been one "other" that had no ballot box next to it. Where I had clearly typed something in a couple of text fields, survey said that it was the wrong format.

At first, I didn't answer all the questions and it wouldn't let me submit. Then, I filled everything in and wouldn't let me submit.

I took the survey on an iMac.

Okay, thanks for letting me know. There was an authentication option in the survey, for the "other" fields. I removed them last night, should work now. I work on Macs, so it's not an Apple thing. :) Thanks for the info.

So the FAQ says this "HootSuite helps organizations use the social web to launch marketing campaigns, identify and grow audience, and distribute targeted messages across multiple channels.

Using HootSuite's unique social media dashboard, teams can collaboratively schedule updates to Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Wordpress and other social networks via web, desktop or mobile platforms plus track campaign results and industry trends to rapidly adjust tactics."

Hootsuite is a (free) social media dashboard that allows one to listen in to conversations on platforms like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. It also allows one to schedule updates and tweets at specific times. Hootsuite (and TweetDeck) help you to see what people are saying about you and your favorite subjects. Marketers are learning to listen in the social sphere in order to add value to their customer/audience, rather than just pushing out messages.

For podcasters, this can potentially be a shot in the arm for marketing efforts. So, at 7:00 pm tonight, I have Hootsuite scheduled to tweet the link to your newsletter page.

However, I would suggest you and other podcasters learn how to use this tool to promote your shows. I'll be happy to answer any questions and give an emarketing primer.

Thanks! MailChimp, the program I use for the newsletter, does allow me to tweet and post to Facebook at the same time the scheduled letter goes out. I set it up to do both.  Is that basically what HootSuite does?

It's one part of what Hootsuite does. The other part is that it helps you to listen and participate in targeted conversations.

Eventually, email will be dead. Social media platforms are where marketing is getting done these days.

It's really going to help you leverage all of the social media platforms you're on. I set up tweets for my boss and myself in the morning and Hootsuite sends stuff out throughout the day.

Hmm i'm having problems with it as well. I've filled in all the questions and it says i need to answer question 1 which i have done.
