I missed that part about the Watcher, Tim.  I guess I have to rewatch and pay closer attention.
Well, they don't point it out and you only see the blood for a few seconds so you can miss it.  :)
This is an interesting thing to read about the show's ratings.  Has it broken down by major city.  I was happy to see Detroit has some great ratings for Fringe (near the top of the pack).  Anyway, take a look.

I am just watching the latest episode of Fringe. At around the 35th minute, while Peter is talking to the Walternate I noticed somthing

Walternate has just invited his chief scientist into the room, just after he answer's Walternate's question, the one about him having anything to do with the the camera goes into a medium close up of Walernates face, as he says the words "there, do you see" his left eye flash's, in a blade runner im a replicant giveraway style...does this suggest that the Walernate is in fact a shape-shifter?

Joostin, oh yes. This has been going on for awhile now, at least since last season. Not sure what it is really, but your theory is good, I like it. You should listen to Fringecasting with Wayne and Dan, they're huge Fringe nuts and this is an anomaly that's been bantered around a bit...

Rico

Moving this into the main Fringe thread.

Fringe was awesome as usual tonight.  This show has maintained the highest level of quality week after week.  It's the show I most look forward to seeing every week.  The end of the episode was a fantastic cliffhanger, and the previews for the next show look amazing. Can't wait!

Yes, tonight's episode was great.  I really hope they give us another season, it would be cruel to end it here =\

I really liked last night episode, played well into the over all story of the series, but also just a real cool story.
I had figured out early on that it was one Universe overlapping with another, so was happy I was able to figure it out. I guess the dreams Peter and now Olivia are having are more then just wishful thinking on Peters part. Happy to see we are getting more and more of the Old Walter, missed him.
Really Digging Fringe a lot. I soooooo hope it gets picked up for another season.

This weeks Episode I thought was pretty good, the case of the week might not have been the best one, but the story arc was pretty good. Really looking forward to next week and all about the Observers.
I am wondering if Peter is really where he is supposed to be, and that Olivia and the rest are really just coming around. Whatever has happened to Olivia, either through the Cortexifan or being in the universe merged town the previous episode, she is pretty much the Olivia from last year, well except maybe a little more cheerful then normal. I guess it is interesting to know that the Nina that we have seen lately, is not the real Nina, I am guessing that she got switched out sometime around when Olivia started getting the headaches. The question for me is she a Shapeshifter or possibly a Red verse Nina.
Really enjoying Fringe too....
I've kind of thought for awhile that Peter really is home.  When he was "erased", things shifted and altered.  But now, Olivia is starting to remember.  Next week's episode looks to reveal a lot on the Observers.  Hopefully that will answer some questions.
Agreed that the story of the week was a bit silly and i found it majorly anticlimactic, but the writers have done such a great job making us care about Peter and Olivia's relationship that I found myself not worrying about it and eagerly enjoying the elements of the main story arc.  I think the show is at its best when it ties the weekly storyline into the main arc, like with last weeks episode about the mysterious town, but I imagine that's hard to do on a weekly basis.

I agree that
the universe we are currently in is the original with everyone's memories altered, but I believe that by changing everyone's memories the Observers actually created a new physical universe and simultaneously destroyed the original.  There's no universe for Peter to return to.
