Hmm I'm not sure about that.  I have a 1TB external that has lots of space on it, I'd love to be able to use that.  Somehow I doubt that Comcast would help me if I called them, piracy concerns and all that.  There's probably a way.  I'll look around on the web.

One way they deal with the piracy thing is to have the file encoded so you can only play it back on your DVR, but you can dump it still to a PC or hard drive.  Then when you want to watch it again you put it back on the DVR.  HD is great, but it does eat up the drive space.

I'm finally up to date on this great show, and all I can say is...WOW.  This is in the running for best show on television now.  One thing that worries me is that this would be impossible to pick up for someone jumping in without seeing the earlier episodes, and I don't think Fox allows its shows to air On Demand.  I love the stories of the alternate universe.  I'm a sucker for all the little touches they throw in, some subtle and some not so subtle, to identify that this universe is more than a little different than ours.  I also love how the episodes set in our world have a green opening, and the ones in the other world have a red opening.  So clever.

Hey I just found the 'Fringepedia'!

Has some great stuff on the parallel universe:

Whoa great site!  I was not aware that the funky symbols played going into the commercial breaks was in fact a secret code that spells out a clue pertaining to the episode.  The most recent episode, for example, the code spelled out "escape".  Pretty funky.

Really great episode last night.  Lots of cool stuff happened.  Spoilers ahead...
Glad the "real" Olivia is finally back.  I wasn't quite sure the alternate Olivia was going to get back to her universe.  I was kind of hoping our Olivia would be able to confront her for an episode or two at least.  I really liked the Broyles in the alternate universe and was sad to see what happened to him.  One thing I'm still a bit confused by is, besides revenge, why does Walternate want to destroy our universe so badly?  Is it really true only one universe can survive??  I guess we'll find out.
I have to say, I really liked this episode last night. I think I always like it when they have the Observers on.
I thought it was really cool how they showed how Walters actions led to a series of events that caused others to suffer. It sort of blew me away how they tied it all together, with Walter bringing Peter back from the other Universe, the Observer saved them. Peter catches a firefly later on, which forces a little girl not to catch one, so she stays out late, forcing her dad to go looking for her. That lead him to hitting and killing Roscoes son. Roscoe was the keyboardist in Walters favorite band, which led him to ending the band. I just thought it was great stuff how they tied it all together. Even the visit of Roscoe and his son had impacts in both times.

Was there any significance to the lady working in the shop that was robbed. She was asthmatic, so was she really just there, just to force Walter to decide between letting Peter go or not? Since Walter stayed behind to device something to get air into her lungs.

Next weeks preview looks great as well
Awesome return episode last night.  How cool was it to have Christopher Lloyd on acting with Walter (John Noble)!  The Observers and all the time travel paradoxes and "Butterfly Effect" stuff.  Just great!  Very cool episode and this series just is really awesome these days.  Loved all the little subtle stuff too, including the song that Walter plays at the end on the record.  Liked it so much I went and got it on iTunes.

Song below by Jeremy Little.  Enjoy!

This weeks episode was fantastic.
I don't know if anybody else has watched the graphic novel web exclusive on Hulu, but when I watched the episode everything I didn't get about that started to make sense and fall into place in the episode. Though I think there was one little mistake that the Observer said in the episode that Madison's Dad went looking for her in his truck. It was a little different in the graphic novel being that it made him late for work. I can excuse it though.

The episode itself though was just great though and time travel, future events. Christopher Lloyd was awesome as usual. It's gonna be really cool to see where this show goes. It's really ramping up I think, but with all the parallel universe stuff and the observers does anybody else get a Charlie Jade feel?
I may have to change my favorite current show from Chuck to Fringe. It's just such an amazing show.
