Fringe- Spoiler alert.

Btw, on Hulu & Fox.com, you cannot watch Fringe for 8 days unless your a cable subscriber now.  This to me just tells me that Hulu.com is going to die now.  There are no shows that come on Hulu for at least 7 days and then some.  There are alternative methods that work a heck of a lot faster.  Congrats Hulu....I no longer care who buys the service.

And they are saying ditto. Hulu is not going to die any time soon. What you're suggesting is actually something that goes against proven results. It's the Napster iTunes effect.

When presented with the choice to pay for something or steal it, a majority of people will pay for the product and keep their conscious clean. The same people that aren't looking at TV as a must see day of event are also the same people that are willing to wait to see a show when they want to.

The bottom line is that people need to make money and even those people using "other means" are most times having to shell out big bucks for the high speed internet connection. You might not want to pay for basic cable and play by their rules, but I bet real money that most high speed connections are more expensive than basic cable... hell Comcast is actually giving away basic cable for free to a lot of low income people now.

Most high speed connections prices I have been exposed to are cheaper than cable/satellite.  Granted though, I haven't run into free cable so there is that...heck though, my internet is free. (No, I am not borrowing it either) So if we want to go comparing prices, my method is cheaper.  But I'll grant X that there probably are unique situations everywhere you go. 

Whatever.  The TV companies are adapting as poorly as ever other major content distributor to the internet.  I guess from now on, I just won't get all that excited about new shows. 

Maybe Hulu won't die, but it will never reach the paid levels that Netflix ever has.  Not as long as the status quo is maintained.  Because there really is no point to Hulu+ these days.  Tried it three times and it was no different experience from Hulu regular.  Though maybe I'm wrong, some people seem to get something out of it.

Oh and btw, when I said I no longer care who buys the service, I meant whoever buys Hulu the company, not Hulu+.  As its been rumored that everyone from Apple, to Amazon, to Google is looking to buy it.

Interesting start of the season. It definitely has a different feel without Peter around. I found the main characters to be pretty much the same, but maybe slightly changed. Broyles was not in the episode a lot, but he reminded me more of his character from the first season, so I think it is cool that they have changed this a bit because of Peter.

[spoiler]Sort of surprised how fast we saw Peter. Did not think he would come up until a few episodes in. But the few flashes of Peter has now changed my whole Theory on what happened to him, and really don't have one now. So looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
Not sure if the main story in the episode really grabbed me. Translucent shape shifting people should grab a persons attention, but for me felt more like monster of the week type show. At the end of the episode, did lead me to believe that they will be around in further episodes.[/spoiler]

I liked the first episode quite a bit.  I like the Lincoln Lee character too.  And I also thought it was cool how the characters with just a little different now too.  A few other thoughts...

[spoiler]I would think and expect more things will be different with Peter "never existing."  I'm guessing we may see more of that as time goes on.  I was a bit confused by the end of this episode when Olivia and Lincoln travel to the other side.  Is that something new in the way they do it now?  Stands on a grate and zap, you go to the other Earth?[/spoiler]

To answer your question...

[spoiler]Yeah, they did it last season and explained at the beginning of the episode. Peter folded space and inside of the statue of Liberty, both worlds meet together so that they can work together. that room exists in both worlds at the same time and allows you to move freely between the two. This is why he could see storms and airships on one window, but clear skies on the other. [/spoiler]

The way I view this stuff is Peter did exist ....but now he just doesn't. But things he did and created still happened. At least that is the answer I'm going with.

The way I view this stuff is Peter did exist ....but now he just doesn't. But things he did and created still happened. At least that is the answer I'm going with.

I think the timeline is now...
[spoiler]if Peter never grew up. Cause the Observes said "They must never know he grew up." I suppose he never was supposed to be in our universe anyway and he would have died in the other after the Observer messing it up. I don't know where the story would all come from without Walternate doing what he did to get Peter back. Hopefully we will learn more about how this new timeline went. Did Peter come across into our universe as a kid? Or did he die in both? Or did the Observer now erase him completely? I was a little unsure about what happened there. Did the observer actually erase him like he was supposed to or not, either I missed something or that was my impression he decided not to. Guess we will find out.[/spoiler]

Here's what I picked up from the episode:

[spoiler]All memory of Peter existing has been removed from the minds of people. Nothing in the past has changed, but they don't remember his participation. This is how the worlds are still able to be connected. I would like to know what it means for Peter's kid. What it looks like from the conversations is that Walter did get Peter, but I think that Peter died in the water as far as they are concerned and this is why Walternate is mad at Walter now.

It looks like Peter is stuck outside of the timeline and the Observer did not use his device to seal the breach. It also looks like Fauxlivia didn't find love with Peter and thus didn't lose that hard edge that she had before.

All in all, it was a lot to digest, but a meal well worth it.
