I really liked this past episode of Fringe, it is going to be hard to wait until the end of January for the next one.
I liked how they addressed the idea of it being the same universe as before, but without Peter they had changed. How everyone sort of got over written, and then there is bleed through. I felt the whole conversation in the Lab with Astrid, Walter and Peter was pretty much was the writers talking to the fans about the theory. I picked up pretty fast that the Nina with Olivia was the Alt Nina, so not surprised when it turned out to be a trick to get Olivia to use her powers. Some good info as well about the Shapeshifters and how they need to kill their subjects to take the form, I think everyone pretty well knew it, but good for the writers to clarify that. I like when it is dealt in the story more then articles with the writers later explaining some of the finer details.
For me as well, what really drives how this is the same Universe, same Walter, Same Olivia, etc etc,  that Olivia's powers are activated when Peter is close by. Seen that in the past, so really says to me Peter is where he needs to be. Now just a matter of convincing him that is his Olivia.
Really hoping that some of these Fringe sites get some screen caps up, as I suspect there is a lot of stuff I missed when Peter was in the Head of the Observer, as there was a lot of stuff going on out in that universe.
To all my DVR challenged friends, don't forget that Fringe returns tonight to finish out what could possibly be its last group of episodes ever.  I suggest you all run around breaking into your neighbors homes and tune their cable boxes to Fringe this week to give the show the ratings boost it deserves.

Really great episode this past week - especially the last few minutes.  Loved that part!

Gotta tear myself away from Mass Effect 3 to watch this.

Yeah, lots of really great stuff in that episode.  Hope we get to see more.

Wow what an episode.  Kind of cruel, though, introducing all those amazing tidbits and possible story threads with likely only a few episodes left in the series.  I know nothing's been decided yet but I've got a bad feeling this is going to be the last season.

That's great news.  Only 13 episodes for this final season 5 next fall, but plenty of time to wrap things up for the series.  It's nice when they let shows do that.  Good job for a change Fox!

Well, I'm glad they did that. Would have been annoyed otherwise...

Btw, there was a story going around that the writers had done two scenes, one for if the series got cancelled and another if they let it continue.

Yeah I saw that story.  Wonder if they'll release the one they won't be using after s05 is over?
