DOCTOR WHO THE WATERS OF MARS

Well this was a great episode, (although classic Who fans will see nods to old episodes here) no spoilers here, not even going to put anything in a spoiler section.

You will love this epsisode, David Tennant is awesome in this and you can tell that this is the build up to the last two episodes. There are some sequencies in this which is heart breaking, the music that accompanies the slow motion scenes brought me close to tears, the speech in the lift is just so moving its what makes The Doctor, you see and hear him saying the problems of being him, what he brings, what he does and what it is to be a time lord that cannot change certain points in time. And for that we love him and we feel pity for him, he is a time lord with two hearts who constantky has them broken becasue of his love for humans.

Unfortunatley like everyone, when you are constantly hurt, constantly troubled it turns tyou inot something you hate.

The last sound, you hear, the last noise. Thats the noise, of trouble.

Well... what a ride! Not at all what I expected but...I can't really say any more outside a big spoiler tag!

Look forward to Dec 19th US people (or whenever you get hold of this).
Most of the way through, it seemed very atypical Who. The Doctor watching but keeping one step back. I looked at the timer after 44 minutes and decided nothing much else could happen. Boy was I wrong!

The end was incredible! Not from an action and explosions point of view so much as where The Doctor's actions took him. The way he reacted to what he had done was disturbing to say the least but the follow up after the death and then with the watching character to one side and the...noise of the TARDIS was just so hauntingly familiar from years ago.

Roll on next episode!

I also caught the Ice Warriors references and a few other throwbacks to series both new and old. Tennant and Davies are obviously going to go out with a bit of a bang.
Recording the Confidential tonight and will watch it tomorrow.

The only problem the CIN sneak peeks is thjat it leaves you wanting more.........

I'm starting to realise that I'm kinda impatient when it comes to my TV viewing :)

Looks really good though....and we now know (as if we didn't already) who the "bad guy" is going to be.

Feathers

Ah! Missed it on CIN but should have known I'd find it here :) Thanks for putting it up!

Hmmm. I do have to say, I'm not wholly impressed with the TARDIS key fob lock.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
