I haven't seen it yet, but considering that Mike and I was of similar opinion of PArt 1, I think that I'm going to be disappointed with part two

For me I'm a classic Who fan have had my moans about the new series. Yes I think the last episode could have had a bit more oomph but I think if you are a DT fan you'll appreciate the wrap up.
Nothing beats the 5th Drs last story anyway lol

I've just seen the trailer for Matt Smith's season. Bloody he'll !!!!

It is looking like it's going to be a good onebringing Wh!! I've got a lot of faith in Matt Smith. I heard they were looking at having an older Doctor after DT, kinda like the William Hartnell version of the Doctor, but they saw Matt Smith's acting ability, asked him to try out for the role and instantly fell in love with his portrayal of the character.

Expect to be blown away by this new incarnation of the Doctor!!

Started a new thread all about the 11th Doctor.

Spotted it too late. Kept trying to delete that post and it won't let me. Keeps telling me to log out and back in...which I do and then it still won't and tells me the same....meh! Ignore what I wrote before!! :)

Well without spoilers. I called it... :P

With slight spoiler...
I knew he was Rassilon! :P
I guess lowered expectations cause for a better experience. I loved this one. I got emotional at several parts.

The main story was a little lacklustre at times with some of what I griped about still unexplained. That will always annoy me.

The closure was fascinating, however, and the character moments were just about all they could have been. I did get emotionally sucked into the ending to an extent, it could have been greater but probably not in what's supposed to be a kids show.
We now have no idea where or if The Master is which is always good but I hope he sheds his force ligtbing abilities if he comes back.

I guessed early on that it had been The Doctor who'd banished the Time Lords. His attitude gave it away. Good call on Rassilon BTW.

Glad they didn't suck Donna into it big time and while seeing everyone else did nothing to add to the story it was nice to see his final round of farewells. The Doctor rarely if ever visits previous companions post-regeneration so you got the sense of a final goodbye moment there.
Good overall. The main thrust could have been better but the end was enough compensation.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Good points Mike. I agree with everything you said I think it was more RTd saying goodbye lol.
Regenerations got to love it :)

True enough.

Th two lines that really grabbed me emotionally by surprise were...
The Masters "Get out of the way" before he force lighteninged Rassilon. Not an entirely selfless act I agree but he still didn't need to warn The Doctor.

The final "I don't want to go". Was there just a bit of long time Who fan Tennant in that line? He's said he needed to force himself to move on.

The irony that it was Wilf who forced the regeneration rather than the Timelords wasn't lost on me either although I wish they'd explained who the mysterious woman was.
I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I read in another forum that the mysterious woman could be Donna herself. The Doctor saw something he recognized in the woman's eyes.
I initially thought she might be a watcher. The Ood seemed a little more in that vein though since he was appearing in impossible places i.e. on earth.

That's true...we never got an explanation for the rapid Ood advanement did we?
I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Where did that little nugget come from??? Did I miss something?
And how could she communicate with Wilf?
