LOL. We call him "John Wayne". He's earned the title on more than once. Boys were afraid to date me when I was a teenager because of that. :D

Nope, dad didn't like him at first. The first time Dave met him, we drove up and dad was shooting a rabid coyote that was trying to fight our dogs. Dad didn't even say hi to him, he just nodded to him brusquely when I introduced him. But Dave did eventually win him over and now they get along great.

I think i would have been a bit worried to be honest ha ha. Actually i once went out with a girl who's dad was a massive Aston Villa fan (soccer team) and i'm a big Birmingham fan (arch rivals), he knew i was a blues fan so i turned up for our first meeting wearing my Birmingham shirt. He looked a bit dubious but we hit it of. saying that if i knew that he was a police dog handler before hand i think i would have thought twice ha ha.
