One of my favorite indi musicians (aside from Rick Moyer) is Maneli Jamal. He has a page on http://www.garageband.com  (awesome source for free music). Maneli is a guitarist and he just added more original songs to his page. I'm listening to one of his newest "Cold Arrival". It's pretty good.

This song is by Mega Bass and is called "Blind."  It was used as the theme for a CW TV series a couple summers back called "Hidden Palms" which I really enjoyed.  Cool song and makes me feel happy and sunny.  Which I need today....

Ever since I played the first Fallout game I can't help but picture blown out post-apocalyptic landscapes when I hear songs like Crazy or earlier ballad-type songs from the 40's and 50's.

Damn you Bethesda! You've wrecked me.

I submit the teaser trailer to Fallout 3 as an example:

Nice. :) Bioshock achieved a certain creep factor too, with old 30's- 40's music mixed with horrible scenes.

Mash-up of Nirvana and Rick Astley.  Kind of fun.  I poked around a little at http://fairtilizer.com/track/properding , but it looks like most of his stuff is too new for this old gal to be familiar with.

It's funny.. one of my twitter co-rpg-ers posted a link to that video today!

I was feeling kind of nostalgic & gave this song a few listens-

A classic, and even though Bowie wrote it, I've always liked this version best.

...And I've always loved this song.

Hey guys, this is one of my all time favorite bands.  They've dominated the local scene in OKC for over 10 years. They reformed with a new band and I went to see them Saturday.  Very nice guys.  And I'm a fan of their sound.  I found them when they were opening for Great White.  I was planning on buying the new CD and getting Great White to sign it.  I instead was blown away and bought theirs!!!  Any thoughts on their sound?

I too was feeling nostalgic. Decided to listen to a band I loved during my college days. Smash Mouth.

My favorites: Diggin Your Scene and Walking On The Sun

So back in the mid to late 90's I used to catch this show called Electric Circus on MuchMusic (the Canadian version of MT. Well, before we got MTV Canada). Basically "pretty" people would get dressed up and dance in the Much Music studio. Not sure why I watched it, but I did.

This was the theme song, I found it on a old CD (Much Dance '97!) and found i kind of stull holds up as a generic dance song.

After listening to jens smash mouth 'walking on the sun' i had a memory of me dancing to that in a club in Brum back in the day. So i thought i'd post a couple of my dancing faves back when i was seriously into ska music.
