Nice one Phil, I actually have this on my mp3 player. 12 mins of awesomeness.

Darn, can't get one past you! :)

It's definitely interesting hearing all of those. My personal favorites are the first and last versions. The original Delia Derbyshire version has a nice cleanliness to it and the last one just plain rocks.

Really digging Opera these days and this is one of the most beautiful arias by Angela Gheorghiu from Puccini's La Bohème.

Beautiful, Kevin. The girl's got chops, that's for sure. :)

Chris, Jerry Reed is a name I've not heard for a long time. I used to have this 45 RPM record (in the days when folks knew what it was):

Now that you've influenced me, here's one of my very favorite movie scenes:

Yeah! I love that song from O Brother...I love that whole movie. Cool old Jerry Reed song too, though I'm partial to "She Got the Goldmine, and I got the Shaft" LOL.

Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye and Kimbra is a great song and once again YouTube provides the sincerest form of flattery

Good song, I like the video too - very nostalgic 'Hard Days Night' quality.

I much prefer this version. You can't beat Ella and Louis in my opinion.

Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong-I Won't Dance

Monheit has a lot of talent and has some great albums but I can't stand Buble's fake Sinatra style.

In honor of John Lennon's birthday.
I think he had a good sense of humor and would approve.
